Different between on season with off season in alliance war setting

I am one of the leader of a alliance group, i try to set matchmaking setting
I do have question here:
1) What is means by off season here?
2) If i put auto-enlist battlegroup 3, does it means auto enrol for all the 3 groups OR just group #3?

SEASON means the 4 weeks in which points accumulate for the whole season, and for season final rewards.

OFF-SEASON means the 2 weeks inbetween each Season. Can still play AW, only for individual war rewards. Not does not cumulate with other wars.

ENROLLMENT (same meaning as ENLISTMENT) for Matchmaking means to register your alliance to take part in the next War.
AUTO Enrollment/Enlistment means that you don’t have to come back before every War and tell the system that you want to be included in getting matched for the next war again (like we used to have to do years ago).

You tell the system HOW MANY BG's you want to run for your War. Separate “# of BG” can be automatically set for ONSEASON versus OFF-SEASON (or can set it to same # of BG's for them both). Like 3 BG during Season, but then only 2 BG during Off-season.

This is *different* from the more recent addition of AUTO-PLACEMENT of Defenders. That setting means you place your defenders in your “Current” Tier Level Map (ie, Expert, Hard, Intermediate, etc). And then if you move Up-Down to different Tier Map in the future, it will take the same defenders and nodes they are placed on, and use them on whatever newer Tier Map you might advance to.
**that can be a problem if different Tiers have different Node Buffs, where you may want to use different defenders on different nodes on that higher Tier Map.
In that case, you can have AUTO-PLACEMENT turned OFF, then everyone will have to place defenders on 3 different potential Tier Maps (using 3x icons on lower right of map screen to change maps).

And AUTO CLEAR of defenders (mainly only for alliances who run 1 or 2 BG's, and want to rotate people around from war to war). That will remove defense after each war, and everyone will have to place defense again for every next war (but at least new people or those rotating wars, will have empty spots to be able to join the next war).
**note, officers can selectively remove just individual player's defenses (instead of clearing the entire BG) by doing so within the 10x5 BG Defense Roster inside the defense map)
