BGs Gladiator Circuit- When do you find it Easier to Climb?

For ranks like arcane, Quantum etc, do you find it easier or harder to play matches at certain times? For e.g., the last couple hours left on the last day, the day before, final week etc.

Logically it makes sense to get easier matches the later into the season, but I've heard when its the last day or last few days it gets a lot harder as the botters/tryhards come out

I heard a mathematical concept, I think it comes under game theory. In a sunny day, you think everyone wanna go to beach, and conclude beach is crowded and hence you didn't go. In a rainy/foggy day, you'll assume No one wanna go to beach, and hence you'll decide you should go, But what if everyone think the same way like you, and ends up crowding the beach on foggy day instead of sunny day.

I think this is what happens in the last days of bg. People with big rosters wait thinking they can push in the end, harvesting points from new uru players, but ends up facing fellow players with similar mindset.

I don’t find it easier to climb at anytime except maybe earlier in the season when the nodes are fresh. What I do hope for is good deck selection rng, since that’s a huge factor if I’ll win or not.

I know that some people do this which is fine, but personally I wouldn't see the point of ranking defenders if one was going to stay in Uru.

Would be a waste of valuable rank up material since the VT becomes a lot easier to complete as the season approaches its end.

I've been in the GC many times & I never play more than 3 or 4 matches. A lot of the bg meta champions are also valuable in other game modes, too. Wouldn't really call that "a waste of valuable resources." Not to mention, rank up mats are really easy to aquire at higher progression. Aside from t6cc, which is still there, just not in the same as t3a & t6b

How else am I going to make the TBs forfeit vs me in the ban screen if I don't have a lot of defenders to inflict emotional damage with?

From my experience it seems like pushing a few days before the end of the season, but not right at the end of the season is the easiest. That was what I did this time, played my last match with 3 days left in the season to get to 186 points which at the time was arcane 1. By the time the season ended it was middle of arcane 2, and all I wanted was arcane, so that worked out for me.

On the last day of the season you can occasionally run into the gamma menace who should be in mysterium but hasn’t played much so now on the last day they make their climb to where they actually should be. You just end up being their stepping stone as you’re way outmatched. Hence why I’ve started avoiding playing on the very last day.

I'm gonna say never for me lmao. I've never made it out of Uru III once, although this season I got close (was at like 84 points or something).

I'm strictly talking about Defenders here, champs like Maestro, Korg, Attuma. Why would anybody rank 3 those champs just to use them for attack?

Im referring to t4a or rank 3 gems here which are one of the most rare resources in the game atm.

Yes theres some defenders that have attack value too like Red Skull, Domino, or Photon but the 3 i mentioned above you are 9/10 times not using them for attack. Maybe Attuma if the node really benefits his concussion reversal or if hes your best option for a round 3 matchup

i was placed in diamond and i started doing a few games halfway through the season until i reached vibranium, then did the vibranium push to GC the last 6 days of the season. out of all of that i’ve only lost 2 games which was a surprise to me, because i’m not really that great at the game.
