Why do people feel the need to farm at low tier?
if you answer this question its very easy to find a solution.
Main reason is it feels really bad on the individual players economy to use elders and lose a match. Makes grinding out alliances minimum scores and expensive grind for less skilled players that still want to compete with friends in their alliances
a similar issue was resolved previously in wars where every death counted in war and thus less skilled individuals were pushed out of alliances.
And before i get people screaming BG is a competitive game mode to showcase skills vs others, well that is indeed implemented in where you rank in the Gladiator circuit and thus you get rewarded for ranking up high in it.
But the alliance event is purely a cooperative game mode that should NOT have a penalty for losing matches
So whats the solution you ask?
simple, eliminate the win and lose situation from matches in alliance scoring. Make every match performed with Elders a flat score of 7k regardless of win or losing match
also could even incentivize matches done in Gladiators Circuit by making matches there worth 9k each, this would then encourage everyone to push hard to get into the GC and stop farming low in Victory Track.
Also this would also increase revenue for Kabam as people would no longer feel like they are wasting resources buying elders to lose a match since then they could use their time and in game currency to get the desired scores regardless of skills.
This would also help Skilled players that get into GC earlier to find more matches as more players in GC would mean matchmaking would improve overall.
To summarize
make elder matches a flat point score of 7k in VT regardless of win or lose outcome
bonus tip for Kabam to encourage a higher maybe players gain 9k in GC for elder matches.

If I queue with EMs and put my phone down i will get the 7k points... That's farming as well.
It won't solve anything, just bloat out the numbers for ranking and have top spenders up there and a huge middle ground bracket
The only real solution is making GC matches give 30% more points, so people actually use EMs in GC instead of farming VT.
If a lose in GC was worth as much as a win in VT we wouldn't have this problem.
Also, I don’t get why Kabam cries about summoners tanking matches to stay in lower tiers. Literally every PvP mode in games for as long as they have existed involves tanking/farming. It’s meta. It’s what gamers do in PvP unless they’re the elite 1%.
But it also balances out. Sure, 1/3 matches someone gets destroyed by a higher account. But 2/3 matches someone gets an easy win.
Would love that to happen and it would definitely encourage people to move up to GC rather than farm in VT.
and While sure any plan give will always have a flaw is about which approach can benefit the most, My original idea I believe would still gelp the most, I did add a clause to have more points given in GC thus eliminating the people that would just put the phone down to farm points as if they pushed to GC it would cost less overall and thus eliminate the problem altogether.
Making cheating/exploiting worth it is the biggest problem. On my post earlier Kabam stated that their stance on it beeing a violation still stands but they wont actually do anything unless its insanely high scores and based on some examples i know that is insanely high then yeah. Why wouldnt people go for it

If only people would do that then the game would be better, Aint nobody complaining about getting some free Gladiator circuit trophies lol
Problem is low accounts that don’t make the gladiator circuit is going up against big accounts that farm in Victory track
So this would indeed fix the problem, who cares if you farm in GC you ain’t hurting anyone lol.
Not that farming in VT you hurt anyone either, as weak accounts are definitely getting the better deal getting easy matches when people lose on purpose. But they don’t see the bigger picture all they see is they keep getting matches with big accounts over and iver for the whole month.
Making these changes and pushing a higher elder mark points for losing than winning in VT would eliminate the big accounts staying in Victory Track which is the problem.
