Device and Version: iPhone 15 pro

Device Operating System: iOS 17.5.1

Mobile Carrier: Verizon

Cellular or WiFi: wifi

Game Version Installed: 46.1.0

Game Mode: Alliance War.

Champions Affected: sandman

Active Boosts: Advanced power boost

Description of the Issue: I used an advanced power boost in war but only received 1/2 a bar of power.

    Is that the gray War-only one that gives you 1 bar at beginning of fight ?
    (if so, is it some node, or opponent ability that reduced it ?)

    Or Class based Power boost that gives you back some power after using your own SP ?
    *Those are of little use, it is “UP TO xx” power, based on how much damage (basically % of opponent's health your SP took off) you actually do. And since you normally are trying to benefit from them against higher (aka, opponents with larger health) fights, your SP in higher fights doesn't do a whole lot of damage (% wise to their overall health)

    War advanced power boost. There shouldn’t be any interference with the node. And even if there was, I’d of likely seen it at the start as a full bar and then come back down. As soon as the fight started I only got 1/2 a bar.

    (Probably) not a bug. As far as I’m aware, the advanced power boost that starts you with one bar of power operates as an instant power gain effect on fight start. It’s not a “your starting power is set to 1 bar instead of 0” because that’s probably harder to code in (I assume); power gain is something they already have code for so the easy solution would be to reuse it here. Maw starts the fight focusing, which reduces your ability power rate by 60%, and since the power boost is ability power gain it gets reduced by this ability.

    I say this is probably not a bug because I’m pretty sure the boost has operated this way for its entire existence and Kabam clearly hasn’t changed it since. I don’t imagine this is something on their radar that they’re looking to change soon either. It’s arguably not how one would read the boost effect but it’s a pretty niche interaction so I don’t think Kabam cares. Maw’s one of if not the only champs that can modify ability power rate on fight start so they probably won’t change it for 1 matchup with 1 boost in 1 gamemode.

    Ebony maw reduces power from power gain effects. Not a bug
