Why do long threads break?

So I was about to take a look at the champion suggestions and requests thread which has over 300 pages, and then this popped up


This also happened with the Meme thread as well


Anyone know why this happened?

I thought forum threads had no limits to pages, this is strange

I had on many forums and never saw this happen.

Forum webmaster just leave it and is on the beach right now

Meme thread was tired of people commenting on it instead of posting memes and just died. The champion suggestion thread died too because Sersi is already in the game. Took awhile for that thread to get the memo though.

For legal reasons, this is a joke.

Not surprising anymore, has been mentioned about numerous threads this is happening in already.

But as for the Wishlist thread, maybe that thread has run its course.
It is no longer (not sure it ever really was, but I’m sure it used to contain some actual Wishes and Suggestions) being used for that.
Instead just thousands and thousands of re-posting of character images out there in the internet, and people just popping in tons of them at a time.

One of the very last ones in there (page 297 link provided earlier) was from someone who just created a Forum Account, maybe just started playing the game (or not ?), who just uploaded some 50+ images (most not even “Covers” but other images) into a single post into that thread.
They may never even come back to the Forums again.

Just ask ChatGPT's (I assume one exists) cousin ImageGPT.. “Find me tons of Marvel Character Images, and put them in my clipboard so I can post them somewhere”.
