Realm events are a scam

How can we calculate that all participants are doing their part in realm events? How can we verify the numbers aren’t fudged by kabam? Why aren’t the reward based on progression? What’s the incentive to grind further than what’s personally required to reach each milestone?
On the positive note we’ll see what socialism does to a games economy

There's no reason to believe that Kabam would manipulate the numbers.
The rewards are participation based, which will be just as useful as progression based. Lower progressions will have a harder time earning points, so they will ultimately earn less rewards, but have the wonderful option of spending more time to earn more because they aren't capping them.
The incentive to grind is helping earn the milestones and better ranked rewards.
There's nothing wrong with having content that helps players care about helping each other.
Calling a company socialist is such a joke.
A company makes its "own" rules, does not have to listen to a user like yourself.
Using political terms that you dont really understand just because dumb politicians are using it, is quite funny.
either ways, keep it out of the forums.
2) again just have to trust them
3) the rewards are definitely for higher tier players. Lower progression players will struggle big time reaching the min contribution points, so thats probably why they were happy with not making it progression based. Also if they somehow do manage to get all min contribution points, then it’s deserved honestly, they would have to grind like hell to get that 5000 points considering how the points are distributed.
4) you most likely won’t reach 5000 points only
within victory track, so you’ll be playing quite a lot of matches throughout the month. If somehow you manage to do it within the first week then you also have the opportunity to continue for rank rewards or moving further in GC. If somehow you manage to get all 5000 points within VT, then your incentive is what i just mentioned + deathless piece as well as the banquet ticket that come every 48 hours

That’s fine. I don’t plan to get my blood pressure up regardless of what happens.

2. You can't.
3. Because.
4. cf: Prisoner's dilemma, Nash equilibrium.
5. Realm events aren't something Kabam invented for MCOC. Realm events are something noticeably absent from MCOC that you typically find in most massively multiplayer games of similar nature. Other socialistic elements to the game: Alliance Quest, Alliance War, Summoner Advancement.
Years ago when I first started playing MCOC I made an observation. I said MCOC is not an advanced fighting game. It is an immature MMO. And every year MCOC does things that almost every MMO does eventually, and people are consistently either surprised, or assume Kabam is just making it up. Only someone who was born yesterday and for whom MCOC is their whole online gaming experience would see Realm Event and think Socialism.
How can we trust the Realm event counters to not be lying to us? The same reason we can trust virtually every slot machine in virtually every casino in the world. Slot machines are licenses to print money. Only a complete idiot would try to cheat with one just to make a few more dollars. Hundreds of thousands of people play MCOC and collectively spend hundreds of millions of dollars on it. There is zero incentive to deliberately rig a score counter in a game mode that they control the amount of points players earn per match in.
Socialism is indeed a form of economy. I’ll attach a link for Webster’s definition below
