The first realm event, crystal cleansing almost bombed until a last min eggs opening saved the event
The second and ongoing realm event, battlegrounds blitz needed a donation from Stark Foundation to help reach the 1 billion points milestone, it is on track to reach 1 billion points at the current rate
Getting 5,000 points isn’t the hard part, waiting for the entire realm to reach 1 billion points is harder

The Stark donation has not yet proved to have been needed to help reach the 1 billion milestone. The event isn't over yet, so we have no real picture of what final impact it will have. There's a plenty good chance we still hit 1 billion without taking it into account.

1 billion points milestone is already a downgrade from the 1.5 billion points final milestone
1.5 billion isn't difficult if there are enough battlegrounds players but unfortunately there isn't
The reality is that the realm needs more than just donations, the realm needs a bailout to hit 1.5 billion points

I didn't really like the Realm Events until the Egg opening, since it seemed like Kabam set impossibly high point milestones. However, after Brian's Egg opening and the Stark Foundation's generous donation, it seems that it was Kabam's plan all along to put extra points into the event if the players were struggling. I say we let Kabam do their thing!

People will complain that they have to work for the rewards, but this one in particular has been great as I can feed sigs into my Photon Herc, Onslaught and more,
