    Serpent's an instaban, so I suggest you keep him at rank 1. A lot of people are sleeping on Beta Ray Bill in the current meta, so ngl I'd go with him. However, Herc is a solid choice as well, especially for questing and Incursions

    Progress to valiant? Valiant requires 7* r3s not r2s so upgrading serpent won’t get you there anyway

    I’d go serpent; he’s underated on attack because he is so great on defense, but he’s got a lot of nice utility, and can ramp up to some nice damage.
