So if you didn't know, the balance update just got announced earlier and Silver Sable is getting rebalanced. Yay.
But Negasonic won't be getting changed. How do you feel? Do you think she needed a tune up? Why or why not?

In every single match she does, i can use a non skill counter and do it faster. This isnt just with the nuke attackers either. Onslaught does what she does but with actual meaningful damage and is a defensive champ too, whereas she has very little defensive use if you know what youre doing. Theres also Dazzler that were now seeing is going to counter recoil like damage. As more and more mutants come out with countering the skill class in mind she'll be entirely flushed out. Kind of like how they keep releasing or buffing cosmic champs that counter Red Skull on defense.
Nobody was really asking for a crazy numbers buff either, jusf a small tune up in damage or some other minor tune up in the flow of her kit in regards to sustaining the incinerates. As it is right now, ive had fights where i lose the incinerates because the AI refuses to throw specials
But a tune up would have been nice though
If she had good damage then they'd have a peni v hulkling situation all again as she that good damage would also translate into her bullseye matches and she wouldn't break a sweat against him which is what they're so hard trying to avoid.
Her damage is PATHETIC and that will not be changing unfortunately BECAUSE bullseye exists and is a top 3 defender and that is what she was made for. If she was made as a skill counter in general and had that kind of pathetic damage then I'd see the rebalance outcome changing. I wished she wasn't directly made for bullseye because now she's literally trapped in his shadow.
My main critique of the 2024 champs is, where do you use them? Where is Spider Punk or Arcade or Northstar better than other options already in your roster? NTW passes this test for me. She’s a niche champ, but what she does is one of a kind and really effective in the right matchup where you need to counter a nasty skill defender — or you just need to deal with a node that wiping off normal debuffs every time you knock the opponent down, etc.
Her damage is supposed to be a 3.5/5 and I feel she falls just slightly short. Compare her to someone like Cheeilth who also has 3.5/5 and you’ll see the difference.
It sucks because I think like ironheart she’s one step away from being a very strong champ, but instead she just kinda ends up in B tier.
And wait if she doesn’t do her job very well, and doing her job is the design goal for her, then doesn’t that mean she’s needs a tune up?
No one can deny she is one of the best champs to take out skill defenders outside bgs. A little damage bump would be nice but provided how she can shut down the entire class they might be afraid of another nimrod situation.
She is the first champ in the entire game who doesn't apply a single debuff, including parry stuns, on her own (No need of wags pre fights). She reduces bleed ability accuracy of skill champs by 100%. No skill champ can purify or cleanse her passive effects, Even in future they can't design a skill champ like that. Unlike the case of nimrod, where punishing shocks are enough to shut him down.
If they wanna punish negasonic they have to give new skill defenders incenerate immunity, which wouldn't make sense at all. No amount of combat training can give you resistance to fire, right?.
Basically she has a lot of potential, and kabam might be afraid of buffing her which may make her too OP.
