You were too far away, so yes that is supposed to happen. Getting the proper spacing is an important feature of his kit and just because you can parry the last hit, doesn't mean you get a free opening vs every champion.

I honestly thought I was pretty close, I guess not. I get that he is not an easy champion but I feel like its boom or doom with this champion. If you know how to use it against everyone is awesome but if you dont do everything perfectly everytime is underwhelming.
