How do you feel about the BGs grind this season?

I'm sure the grind is different for different people. I have never played so many BGs, and I am only at around 4k in the realm event. I am feeling massively burned out like I never want to play BGs again. I've been on multiple 5+ match losing streaks. Sometimes it feels like I can't buy a win. I feel like I played double the amount of BGs I played last season. The people who have an easier time have huge rosters, start near the top and spend all their time in the crit me meta which gives more points and therefore less matches for 5k. I hope kabam increases the points we can get from wins and losses using energy and elder marks next time they do something like this because this is a massive slog. I am willing to bet the majority of people feel this way.

Also please give us lost points for forfeits. If I am matched up with an account that has more r3 defenders in their deck that I have r3 on my entire account, I don't want to spend 15 minutes getting demolished by them. Forfeiting loses us valuable elder marks. Just let us ff and get loss points. It's the same exact thing.

Playing is participating. Completing the match is participating. Been that way since (almost) the beginning. Just lose on purpose, it'll go quicker.

What is the difference in the end. Paying elder marks and losing vs paying elder marks and losing after some time

The difference is the designed competitive nature of the game mode. It is not designed for you to have any semblance of benefit for quitting until you find an opponent you're willing to face. If you want to waste elders marks, that's on you.

Bero man made a community post on his YouTube saying it felt "Arena-like" and that's the best I've heard anyone sum it up tbh. I definitely went through a fair few matches mindlessly, which is completely counter-productive, but it's not been fun hitting this 5k mark.

It was a bit stressful because life happened.
Have some marks milestones to claim still.
And have to get back down to 7k marks before next season, so I can climb with less stress of losing marks due to 9k cap. Forfeiting 2 games with energy is boringaf.

What I want is for them to fix matchmaking so I don't get matched against accounts 4x my size. Until they do that, ye me paying elder marks and quitting should give me loss points, because it's literally the same thing in the end.

Don't forfeit with marks. It's best to leave the device for 8 minutes.

Matchmaking was fixed a long time ago. You face the players in your tier who are searching for matches at the same time. That is the fairest form of matchmaking because everyone is competing, whether they are able to or not, for the same rewards.
If you only want to face accounts your size, then you should be asking for a lower tiered game mode with reduced rewards, not a free or easy pass to the rewards that every other account is going for.

Losing matches is not a free pass to rewards. I am literally spending elder marks. That is the opposite of free. If you think this, then you should advocate for kabam giving 0 points for losing. Do you think we should get 0 points for losses?

It’s been a lot of work. As a new Valiant player still fleshing out my account, I’ve had a ton of losses to better accounts and better players. This month was only my 3rd month to reach the GC. I feel like I am playing way more than I normally would. The rewards are nice though. But it’s been a lot of work.

I only play to GC when there's a chase reward. And this is only my 2nd time getting to GC. It wasn't too bad getting my 5k because I started very low, but it was a LOT of matches to play up to GC.

By the time I got there pretty much had my 5k. I'm a low Valiant, only 3 R3, and an average player, but this felt easier to get to GC then last time.

I'll play a lil in GC to burn marks and contribute to the realm event, but I'm not really into BGs, so I will be afk'ing them.

I never play bgs, no time for them. I do have 5 minutes day 1 to win one or 2 to collect 50+45+23+45+23 pts, or 2,332 pts.

The rest were other summoners going to town on the highest quality 4 star defenders my deck had to offer.

This is transactional for me, in the end.

Not fun. Battlegrounds is just not it for me. I enjoy a challenge, but this is by far my least favorite game mode. The waiting around for what feels like 10 minutes a match just to play some combo of Onslaught, Photon, Dust, Serpent, Domino, maybe 1 or two other champs just isn't fun. If I could quit after the last match even it would be slightly more enjoyable, but I hate waiting 15 seconds for the results.

Just try not to focus on the fact silver sable very well be your reward. Burnout increases exponentially faster if you don’t block that out of your mind

I do a **** ton of BGs every month anyways since it’s my favorite mode by far so this month was just a regular month for me. In fact it’s better than other months since I get slightly easier than usual matches in GC due to more than usual players in there. I can see how it is annoying for people who aren’t fans of BG though

it's still not worth it. hence why i don't grind. i see no reason to especially given the functional state of the game. i play a lot don't get me wrong but it's a leisurely play .. not a "i must win at all costs" grind.
