Finally managed to pull this guy…is he still relevant?

Doggo has finally joined my pack. Don’t see folks talking about him much anymore - he still relevant?

What rotation do folks use for him? Any particular relic good for him?

definitely relevant, basically rush to sp2 and throw it. very easy to use champ and incredibly tanky and versatile

Squidopus

Werewolf is an interesting champ. On the surface he doesn’t look like he offers much beyond some decent rupture damage, but in practice he’s got some neat utility that’s hard to quantify.

Being able to inflict two decently powerful rupture debuffs through block with his first medium gives him good damage potential even while the opponent is playing passive or if you can’t afford to hit the opponent too much. His flat rupture AA boost during curse of lycanthropy also gives him play into glancing like against Maestro. Most notably though, the power gain is really nice. Being able to throw the first special and just generally spam specials is often quite useful, and unlike other mystics Werewolf doesn’t really require ramp or major setup to do it.

It’s probably fair to say that the mystic class has received enough heavy hitters that Werewolf’s fallen to the wayside a bit, but he’s definitely still a capable champ in most game modes. Also nice as a 7* because he’s one of the few who really doesn’t need sig at all to be good. Easy to use, just howl and throw sp2. Overall still solid, he just became a bit less prominent as the game progressed.

I dont have him so cant comment my experience, but one of the reasons he might be talked about less is other attackers finishing fights faster. Hes definitely versatile but if he doesnt have full moon up and needs to build to a second sp2 then youll probably lose the match on time, unless you draft a defender they dont have a counter too.

He counters glancing. He is also great where you can just hit their block with a medium attack to place ruptures and get to your sp2 before the opponent even got a single bar of power. He is also a great dual threat. In the week of the full moon, he is phenomenal in BGs because he will get his 10 charges by the time he reaches sp2 for mega pupper damage

He has not degen damage instead he applied rupture debuffs so the ghost rider relic don't work on him.

Yup, same as moon knight. Phases of the moon last a full week, so every 4th week is full moon in mcoc

I don’t know why but the idea of a champion being better during a specific part of the month is really funny to me

Ghost Rider relic works really well for WWBN actually, it can provide a Vicious passive (on activation of the striker) which boosts the damage over time damage from his Ruptures, and there's another rune slot which can boost the potency of his power gain buffs.

I don’t know why but the idea of a champion being better during a specific part of the month is really funny to me

It fits his lore tho. And he starts with 3 charges instead of 0 on full moon which slightly enhance his ramp up (let him go to his mode when he reaches sp2), but it isn't really big deal.
