Game Freezes

My game kept freezing on me, so I uninstalled and reinstalled it. I then started the game again, went through the tutorial for a new game, then decided to link my Google account. Once I did, it said I already had a game save with Google and that this would overwrite my progress. That's fine and I did it.

Once the old game loaded, I was at at an edit my team screen. I tried to edit my team, but it wouldn't let me. It also would not let me select any other options. I have restarted the game and my phone, and still the issue persists. I uninstalled and reinstalled the game again, logged into my Google account, and again the same issue.

I then uninstalled/reinstalled for a third time and this time did not sign into Google. I played through the tutorial and a few matches and everything seemed to work fine. I then logged into my Google account again, which took me to the same edit my team screen, and it still will not let me edit my team or make any selections from any menus.

It seems to be that anytime I sign into Google, my game is essentially unusable. However, I want to sign into Google so that I can have my progress saved across devices. Does anyone have any idea what might be going on here?

I assume these are brand new accounts (you haven’t been playing very long ?)

You CAN have your progress saved across devices even without Google/Apple Play Account.

What you do is create a KABAM ID in the game (start from the version where you did NOT login using Google).
Then go into Settings (upper left gear symbol).
Login Options, and create a Kabam ID for that new account. (It would be an email address as a username, plus a password).

Don’t bother attaching this account onto Google Play (just use Kabam ID for logging into game with, same as for Forums here that you made).

Your account is kept on Kabam Servers, not individual devices, so you can login using your Kabam ID to that same account from any device.

And that way (using Kabam ID instead of Google Play), you can login to Kabam's WebStore up here for claiming daily/weekly free stuff (and making discounted purchases vs the cost in game), and for Promo Codes (when made available, don't ask), etc.

Thanks, SummonerNR. Much appreciated. It is a new (ish) account. I started playing a few years back, but quit and never got back into it until recently.

Is there any benefit to having my game connected to my Google account? Or is having it connected to my Kabam account all I need? I have all my other games (CoC, PvZ, Angry Birds, etc.) connected.

Kabam ID is all you need.

Not sure if there are still GooglePlay Points or not, but minor compared to the stuff you can get when going thru MCOC WebStore.

(and before you ask, lol, no need to comment about WebStore itself not being correct game, covered in many other posts today. Temporary problem)

    Thanks again. Last question.

Is it possible to overwrite my Google game save with my Kaboom one? Or to remove whatever current Google one exists? One thing it has is the name I chose. But since creating a new game and linking to my Kaboom account, I can't seem to reclaim that name.

Very hard to connect an existing Google game account and attach Kabam ID to it (possible, but many pl, have hard time).

Submit a Request to Kabam Support, and ask then which was is easier for them to do.
    (1) Keep your Google game account, and link a Kabam ID to it.

Or (2), remove player name from Google game account, and give that name to your new Kabam ID game account instead.

Either way, you will have to answer account specific questions to Support Dept. to prove they are your accounts.

    https://help.kabamsupport.com/hc/en-us/requests/new

Or (3) just use your desired name, but add a number 1 or something, to end of it, for your new Kabam ID game account.

Note, an email address can only be used for a single Kabam ID account (for multiple Kabam ID accounts, you'd need multiple emails).
