Those dots don't connect. Unless this other friend already has 3rd party software downloaded to be able to cheat and that's what your friend logged into, then he would've needed to give away his login info, which is also bannable.

Theres still lies as he was banned for cheating not account sharing
I hate it when I pick up someone else's phone, and don’t realize it's not mine.
Then I go make a call from it, go thru their contacts list, but I still don't realize that.
Go to open some apps, and all the icons are all in the same spot as on my phone, so I still don't realize it's not my phone.
Open up my financial sites, and login, still not realizing.
Put the phone down, login info still intact.
And month later all my money is gone.
*if you log into game from another phone, that phone thus will still be able to open game into your account, unless you specifically LOGOUT first. And that doesn’t always work either (in case of “default account” for a device, can get in even without logging in). So that person can go into your game at any point in the future too.

He didn't get hacked because his account isn't worth hacking. Anyone able (or willing) to hack an account in this game is going to go after a bigger account. The only way another person used his account is if he gave away his login info, simple as that. Either someone else played his account with his knowledge, or he cheated himself. Bannable regardless.
