The game experienced a brief connectivity issue this morning. The team promptly fixed the issue and things are back to normal, thank you to everyone who passed along reports!

How much do I have to pay to remove the negative credit units?

Effectively you owe 22,997 units to Kabam
You can't earn unit in game or use unit in game until you pay back your unit debt
    You can still play though

Now, maybe a lot of summoners will do this haha

Best thing if you don’t want to start over is to keep playing with the negative units and then when you have enough money to pay back the negative credits then you can do that, it’s happened to me before, not that big of a deal, kabam just wins in the end.

1 negative credit is somewhat equal to 1 cent...
I have seen some where 9999 is the 99.99 to refund but I have seen others where they refunded 99.99 and had to pay back a higher ammount. Not sure if its because of the tax or a fee.
You still earn units, but don't have access to use them. Once you pay back whatever units you earned in while being in negative credits show up on your unit stash.

Bit of a flawed system. Instead of taking away the things you bought, it puts you in debt. It's stupid

And if you already used the purchased items, then what?
There should be a system where every individual item in the game costs a different amount, and the amount spent is added to it.

People refund money, not items. They want their money back, not whatever you got with it. Good or bad whatever you got you are stuck with it.

You wouldn't do it through your savings account, there's too much risk of losing that liquidity outright. What more nefarious types do is create false credit lines with stolen credentials (usually senior citizens not savvy with online commerce) and run up credit card bills for months/ years. It takes up to 6 months for companies to freeze accounts after non-payment of bills, and even longer if sporadic attempts at minimum payments come through. Someone really could run a tab of, say, 6 figures of spending between 5 credit cards with $25k limits and not be punished in game, as the credit card companies have already funded the transaction and thus will be the ultimate losers in this fraud.

Some folks do this on purpose as well, and declare bankruptcy every 8 years or so.

    Don't do this, kids.

Yea what's your current progression in game now?
    Account rating
    Number of 7* champions
    Number of 6* champions
Any good champion in 6*/7* rarity
The more details you provide the better advice you will get

    I have about over 10 7* rank 3 champions :(

Then you don’t need units . You can easily play the game without them . It will just be a little slower. Just enjoy your life and treat the game casually instead of as a money pit
My recollection is when you have negative contest credits you can’t spend or earn any units at all, not even in-game, so not paying it back is not a very good long term solution.

In general, contest credits are not the same thing as negative units. Contrary to what some have said in this thread, you don’t neutralize 22997 contest credits by buying 22997 units. In fact, you can’t buy units at all. It’s always been the case that about $100 in refunds convert to about 10000 contest credits, it’s just $99.99 for 9999 due to how in-app stores tend to price things.

22997 contest credits in this case is representing 229.97 USD in refunds, which corresponds to the about $230 USD the OP claims they got refunded. However, one complicating factor is the game does not allow you to buy any arbitrary amount of contest credits. You’re required to buy them in whatever offer sizes are in the store. So you might have to buy more than necessary to neutralize the negative contest credits. If you do, excess above that necessary to neutralize your negative contest credits balance get converted to normal units at an exchange rate comparable to the ratio between units and contest credits. I.e. $99.99 buys 9999 contest credits and 3100 units, so I believe excess contest credits are exchanged for units at a rate of about 31 units per 100 contest credits. I don’t recall the precise ratio.
Thanks, bro! I really appreciate your clear explanation.

You can still earn units, however there will be a lock sign on them when you go into the menu to check how many you have, and can't spend them until the credit balance has been settled.
