While I don't work for Kabam so don't know what Kabam true intentions for this Quest design is.

But if I have to guess based on their announcement for this new content. The idea is for players to fight, appreciate and understand these Defender more. With most fights under normal circumstances with the right counters, the fight itself would be over in less than 2 mins Nuke. I assume that these Nodes are design so that players would have enough time to understand champs and the fight.

Even though these fights are long it is not played like normal Long/Everest type of fights, as those fights usually require ramping up yous champion while dealing with complicated Nodes, and one mistake would usually lead to KO.

These Node here are not complicated, the fight itself are standard, it just delay and prevent the option to Nuke down the fight.

Is this the right approach? I'm not sure, but it easier to have a proper discussion when we understand the basic premise.

The game does offer many form of game mode, not all are right for each players, hope you find your fun. 😊

1/3 of my deck is 6R5A, and I make GC easily every season. Not everyone whales out, or gets lucky with Titans. Bullseye, Enchantress, Serpent, Silk, Onslaught, all those Champs are too useful to say "Aw shucks, can't use them since they're a 6*"; AbsMan, Fury, Torch, Galan, CGR, Hulkling, Doom, Kate, Fantman, Tigra (I could go on), don't even have 7* versions, and they all are still more than usable.

No one is making you still use them. By all means, don't. But trying to make other people out to be fools for still using them is nonsensical.

It's way easier to nuke out 6* Bullseye or tank few of his specials than to tank 7r3 bullseye with pierce stat focus,

Enche Onslaught gets total wiped out by 7r3 Titania in single sp3 rotation, no sweat, no thinking, just monkey strategy of reach sp3 and boom it's over, no need to do heavy even.

6* serpent block damage is laughably watered down when compared to 7r3 pierce stat focus, 7* specials hurt on block and very funny thing that you can't dex them.

Only thing keeping 6* relevant are exclusively champs that Kebem is refusing to introduce as 7* but eventually they'll have to and that day, will be funny day.

So maybe it's not designed for me? Fair, but I'd argue it's not designed for where the game is right now in 2025, and so is a waste of developer time that could be better spent making a game that actually runs smoothly

I think the takeaway is that it's relatively easy these days to R5 6s, whether by gem or cats. At least for me, the important resource for 6s is ascension powder, and the lack thereof in the rewards for these tedious quests...
But that means I probably won't do them unless I get bored and have extra time, and that's ok. It's just feedback/discussion. No one needs to get upset on either side.

We are all using the product and we are all giving feedback hence why saying it’s weird is so silly .I expressed how I personally don’t like such time consuming quests , other people expressed they feel like the rewards don’t correspond to the effort etc . That’s what we call feedback . That’s literally what all regular humans do . People who get triggered when someone expresses discontent with some aspect of of a mobile game are the outlier
It is weird. Because if a few lanes of content that you don’t want to do is enough to make you feel like Kabam shouldn’t do it for the entire player-base, you can always do what you did, which is complain. But don’t get mad when you post on an open forum and someone disagrees

From a not very competitive players point of view, the 6* r5 gem are actually amazing for me. I have a lot of champs that are 6* that could benefit from being r5, however i don’t want to waste cat resources on them when i can use them on 7*.

Not every account will have every sought out champ that are exclusively 6* to the highest rank. So these resources are good for those players. And that is where the target for the quest comes down to. If you don’t see it as value then don’t play it. It’s not like they took away from the typical showcase to add this. It’s additional content for those who want to do it.

Both the main showcase and deathless quest (if you at least have 1 deathless champ, gives a 7* r2. So focus your resources on those.
