Alliance war attacker

I just took off a defender from alliance war defense 3 hours before this new war started today. Why can’t i use that attacker in this new war? It says he is stuck in alliance war. Please help, need him to attack

    Removed from ALL 3 potential difficulty tier maps ?
    Even if only on a defense map either +/- of your current war, still counts as being on defense.

    Even if removed from all, sometimes doesn’t register until next war (or 2) later.

    Actually i worked it out. Even if i didnt have them placed in the other 2 modes it still said he was in a war. Strange but thanks for your help mate
