No one is trying to be mean to you here. Kabam policy on chargebacks for legitimate purchases is typically to offset the chargeback with negative units on your in game account.
Your contention (as far as I can tell) is that the purchase isn’t legitimate. If you have actual proof of that, I encourage you to pursue your claim. Assuming historical efforts to chargeback for in game purchases are similar to yours, I’m not hopeful you’ll succeed. But good luck.

Although we colloquially call them "negative credits" they aren't actually just negative units and don't function that way. They don't trade one for one with units. When someone has contest credits applied to their account, their account is also placed into a special mode where:
1. You cannot purchase anything from the game 2. You cannot use any of your units 3. You cannot earn any units
Until you resolve contest credits, you're essentially locked out of making purchases, even with units, using units, or even earning them in the background. Until you pay off the contest credit debt, you're basically in unit prison. If you're willing to play the game that way, then in theory you could continue to play the game indefinitely without paying off the contest credit debt, but that seems do be a fairly bleak existence.
And on the subject of charge backs in general: you can attempt this in one of two ways: via the app stores and via the credit card companies. The credit card companies have policies under which a consumer can legally request a charge back, and they generally revolve around fraud, failure to deliver product, defective product, or charge errors. None of which would apply to MCOC purchases players were just unhappy with, and thus that would technically be fraud. The app stores also have limitations on requesting refunds, and lying about those is also technically fraud.
Most people get away with these kinds of fraud, because neither the credit card companies nor the app stores want to spend a lot of time investigating every single dispute. However, it has happened in the past that people have been caught, and people have been blacklisted from the app store operators or the card processing networks in extreme cases.
