Everything else I've read so far says "land".. Mix Master being the only outlier - maybe "would land" would work.. I think they just used "attempt" knowing that Evaded attack will not "land" but will still be counted in the sequence?
Correct. If they said "land" the ambiguity would be that the second attack doesn't actually land. In later descriptions I believe they use terminology like "would have landed" or words to that effect, but that one is currently technically inaccurate. I'll bug report it when I get the chance.
Thank you, it's appreciated
Yeah, I just basically stumbled upon this by deciding I wanted to land Medium 2s for extra Poison applications in a war fight haha.. (generally speaking, ML only is considered the safest approach for Mix Master.. especially with this meta where you can be required/encouraged to punish a special - which I did want to play along with because Korg is most dangerous if you get cornered and begin to trigger Crowd Excitement) so I came up with this whiff light, MLM strategy, then switch to ML if he had an sp1 active (sp2 can be punished by light) and was excited about using it (it worked great in practice mode where all the nodes were just pretend/self imposed:).. only to discover that it's not coded that way mid war fight 😂
It was fine and adjusted strat and still had a great fight, but just wanted to bring this here because I thought it was interesting
One another thing in Mix Master is that if you do three light attacks, and the second one did not cause an evade(stun, true accuracy, aar, whatever), the third light will land because it is counted as a new sequence.
Good shout, didn't know this Edit: or rather.. I knew that stuns "erase" the hits landed while stunned, but I didn't know why If I can parry stun freely.. I'll use a lot of MLM or H Or with a defender who's heavy is easily countered with a heavy.. I'll do a heavy bait version of MLM/H, etc.

In quests, I usually just go parry MlllM since the stun lasts long. But in BG or AW, it's usually llMlM.. but if I were using the best champ in the game, it would only be parry heavies😉

For sure, but of course the strat I was trying above was against Korg on Mix Master with a couple nodes that interrupt the flow of parry for two reasons kind of (also, Korg so your window is usually while stacks are down).. there's also the tac where if you fail to punish a special (with a tac champ) they go Unblockable - which is hit or miss as a threat depending on champ/node set, but with Korgs Crowd Excitement, it's kind of a threat here (don't wanna get cornered) .. ML in this scenario (maintain the guaranteed ability to punish his sp1 with a medium if he throws it) is the safest course and would be fine, but I wanted to get some Poison ticking on him prior to sp3 (he's hard to heavy counter imo) so I thought I had a plan (whiff lights strategically as needed) to land those 2nd Mediums safely lol.. but I did not 🙃
But! I was using the best champ in the game obvs and ended yellow bar.. like he does, of course 😉
