They will probably go according to the class wheel. They started Mutant,Skill,Science and it will "most probably" follows by Mystic, Cosmic and Tech which makes so much sense because everyone is all over the place with the predictions of Cosmic and Tech class so it will raise the curiosity even more.
Just out of curiosity, if Nimrod is the Tech champ for this events.
How would people feel?
Eh. Most of the mutants he can counter aren't really used in defence in pvp anymore. Hes still great but most of the time I dont think he'd be particularly crazy on attack
I think I have the same sentiments, Nimrod a very strong champs but just doesn't feel he is up-to-date meta relevant anymore. Personally for me, I think I would be interested in Viv Vision more, but that is just me.
@ViperOfChampion , from your post I thought it might be Ghost or Drax with their amazing invisibility skill. 🤣

He is useful everywhere except bgs. The only relevant mutie defendee he can't take is onslut and dust. I rarely see any bishops nowadays. Every other mutant including wpx, domi, nega, sinister, havok, Jean, storm x, the new 7* apoc, and anyone else, he can nuke.
In war he is the best dust counter too, with omega sentinel synergy.

As long as Domino is a problem, Nimrod will have a place in the game. He’s definitely not what he was, but his anti-domino stuff, his ability to get around armor breaks and the ability to remove prowess and regen effects with basic attacks — that’s all still pretty cool and useful in certain situations.

While I know what you mean, but really Nimrod only counter part of Domino def abilities. Nimrod can't block none contact hit and he for nothing to counter Evade.
I'm not say Nimrod isn't powerful but there new Tech that can counter more of Domino def abilities. For me it feel like Viv Vision bring more uniqueness to the table (of course I would love FAM, but don't see thst happening)

Agree, I think Nimrod is way more than a bust and way less than an automatic r3 candidate.
Is this not the relevant photo of HoF champs? If it is, it’s pretty great.

I can definitely see this being the actual pool I don't know why a few people disagreed. Nick and Nimrod will be the two chase champs, iBom Apoc and Annihilus are the okay ones and then Morningstar is the one nobody wants to pull cause it's complete garbage. Sounds very realistic to me considering so far it seems like they're pulling champs that were once considered strong not champs like Hulkling who will always be strong even if they're two full ranks behind.
Annihilus has never been considered strong. He hits as hard as Vision on a good day, and is only annoying in defense without widely available counters.
And Morningstar makes no sense - not strong enough so it warrants inclusion in a vote to make make her stronger, yet strong enough to be included in a crystal described as powerful? It would be totally bad PR too, as you’ll have people complaining about the voting (people complaining that “we could have had a buffed 7-star Morningstar” or complaining that the voting would have had a different result based on the timing of the news/leaks). Kabam would be knowingly inviting controversy for what reason?
Gotta disagree there he hits harder than Vision, problem is you need AI cooperation so you can stack up a lot of stiffles before sp2. That's not the reason I think he's in the crystal though I think it has to do more with defensive value, he was never a powerful attacker but he was a top war defender when he came out, and that seems to be the trend with this crystal which is why I think Morningstar also makes sense. She was a top champ at one point, back when a champion with power gain was op. I don't think this crystal is only about powerful champs now but champs who might've been powerful once.
Also, we don't know if they'll do some tweaking, they just did it with iBom and boy is that change big for BGs especially, so the possibility is there, maybe they tweak both Annihilus and Morningstar as well we don't know.
The problem with the rationale for Annihilus is that is projecting defense as a reason for meeting this 'powerful' definition. So far, of the three champions, only 1 is really considered powerful for defense (Nick Fury). In terms of the 3 champions revealed, I would say that their offense is more 'powerful' than their defensive potential. That's not to say that the 6 champions couldn't be half offense/half defense spread, but otherwise Annihilus doesn't really follow the trend of the 3 revealed champions. Additionally, if the leaks are true (which I don't think they are) but Morningstar and Nimrod don't scream 'powerful on defense' either, so Annihilus would be a big outlier.
And again, the Morningstar vote is a huge wrench in terms of her inclusion in the Fire crystal. Either: (1) Kabam knew MS was unlikely to win the buff vote, still included her unbuffed kit in the Fire Crystals ... to generate player discontent since the vote officially told us that she could use a buff? (2) Kabam thought MS had a chance to win the buff vote, still included her in the Fire crystal... so that players could get their hands on her long before her buff actually goes live? (3) Kabam included MS in the Fire crystals because they planned on a simple numbers buff (it'll be a small tweak, not a full rework), and yet included her in a vote that would suggest a full rework (and not just a small tweak) would be needed?
Again, that is only if you see it as "powerful today" not "powerful once", all of them were considered powerful at one point in time and that could be the trend so far as well. Annihilus was a top 5 defender once, Morningstar was also a top 5 mystic once even though that was a very long time ago. As for the last part, why would you not expect them to throw some garbage in there? If the leaks are true and we're getting Nimrod and Nick, that crystal needs garbage in it to balance it out. Lastly, both Morningstar and Annihilus could be decent with a few tweaks they don't need full reworks. iBom got one, we don't know the rest yet. Your points are valid, but the possibility is there regardless.
morningstar yes she was very good especially when there was buff heavy metas,
but ibom???, he came out a year after torch and void, wasp, thing, capiw were already in the game, heck even ghulk was in the game. he was already struggling with the options available so i don't know how he is considered for this crystal
iBom is in my opinion way better than Void, Wasp, Thing, IW Cap and Gulk on offense so I don't really have that much of an issue with him being in the crystal, he is powerful just not as powerful as the other two. I think we need to wait to actually test him with the small tweaks they made to his kit before judging because I actually do think he has a lot of potential now.
Few things about Ibom, his inquity interaction change won't make him a decent attacker in bgs. His damage source is poison which many champs in are immune to. He will suffer from despair mastery, if u think u can heal in matches through willpower, good luck with 10 points of healing after despair reduces it.
Void disrespect is unreal here, he is better heal controller than ibom, has way more utility and damage (consistent).

1. Yes it will Inequity hurts him a lot and makes him very slow. 2. Since when is dot reliability a bad thing? You don't see people complaining about AA or calling him bad just because a lot of champs are immune to poison or bleed do you? That's just a weak lazy counter argument. 3. That's still better not healing at all no?
Void has more utility and he is a better defender, that much is true but his ramp is slower and he is not going to have more damage than iBom after that change to Inequity, you'll see once the videos start coming through.

I think what we're seeing is just disappointment that the science option wasn't a crowd pleaser, like NF and Apoc. iBom fell off for many players before 7* champs were even released. If that first acid burn cycle doesn't finish the fight it just feels very tedious..

He fell off before 7* because Inequity made him very slow in BGs, that change is huge and people are acting like he's going to be just as okayish as he was back then but that won't be the case, this change is big. Now I'm not saying he isn't a tier below the others, I expected Scorpion myself and was a bit disappointed when they announced iBom. As a matter of fact if I land on one instead of Nick I will be very annoyed, but I will invest in him regardless cause I think people are underestimating him a lot on attack because Inequity used to hurt him a lot back then.
ibom was a chase champ on release but he fell off way before 7*s and BGs even existed. better champs came out that either outdid him in damage or covered similar ground (nimrod, omega sentinel, scorpion, hulking, herc, kitty).
ibom was always solid and still is and the buff will do him good but inequity was never the cause of his downfall..the game just passed him by.

For BGs it was for me personally, that's why I never ranked or used him and I'm willing to bet I'm not the only one that feels this way. His damage was never on Sinister or KP level to warrant Inequity nerfing him this hard, I think this change will make him relevant in BGs considering he actually will hit hard and can be a good trap defender.

not sure what your roster progression was like so can't speak for your experience, but if i'm not mistaken, meta-wise ibom peaked at the rank 3 6 star level (around 2021) and he fell off at r4. at r4 the standard community rankup was herc, hulkling, galan, scorpion etc and by then ibom was made a bit irrelevant.

i'm optimistic about the buff though.
I'm aware, I didn't say he was meta just that he was still relevant back in the beginning of 2022 for like two full BGs seasons even Lagacy was using him. Then he fell off pretty quickly and I never saw him again in decks, I think with the buff he will be relevant again, we just have to wait and see how much better stat focus and the buff make him.
Ibom is not really the best for bgs, mainly cuz of inequity. He just suffers being in the wrong class. Science is so stacked so a very stacked attacker like ibom seems mid.
Tbh for most content, ibom has better dps and is a better attacker in general than the other two (nick nd apoc).
Just ciz there are 10 other good champs doesn't mean ibom is bad. Especially because for some players ibom is going to be their only good science champ (he is my first r4 science and I didn't had anyone else at that time, no scorp and torch and s99 and other sciences are mid asf).

I think he will be very good once the Inequity thing is changed tho, the science class is still stacked no doubt about it but I do think he has the potential to be in the top 10, maybe top 5 science depending how much damage he dishes out with stat focus.

Stat focus is a minor boost it not going to be crazy but still worth it i stopped playing slightly after he got released so never got to tried him.

Yeah a few crits here and there wouldn't hurt. I gotta say at first I was annoyed but now I'm actually a bit excited about him being in it cause the Inequity change is huge. I think more people will come around once they get to use him with the buff in place.
ibom was a chase champ on release but he fell off way before 7*s and BGs even existed. better champs came out that either outdid him in damage or covered similar ground (nimrod, omega sentinel, scorpion, hulking, herc, kitty).
ibom was always solid and still is and the buff will do him good but inequity was never the cause of his downfall..the game just passed him by.
Yeah he had a very short time as a most wanted champion, he just sucked compared to the other with his heavy dependence on poison and acid burn not being that reliably to get consistently stacked. because from what i remember his whole play style was to get a couple of poisons, get the acid burn and hope they die because you have to ramp all over again.
versus void who just gets faster and stronger the fight goes on and doesn't have to start from the beginning every time fear of the void endss
I actually think Heimdall could be an interesting choice. Obviously he won't be as hype as Hulkling or CGR, but his synergy is still wildly OP and invaluable in a lot of endgame content that is, more and more, getting 7*-locked. We will soon need a 7* Heimdall to have access to that synergy.
Nah most likely Claire, if Nimrod (Crashed hinted at only one of the guesses being wrong and Morningstar is the most obvious one) is in it I don't .
Unless we are thinking of different Paul the octopus he made predictions for both WC 2010 and Euro 2008.
Euro 2008 his record was actually 4/6 so if Crashed is actually alluding to 2008 Euros then it's very likely two of those champs are wrong, not just 1.
Is this not the relevant photo of HoF champs? If it is, it’s pretty great.
Dr. Zola
Scorp or Torch were what the players wanted and it'll take time for them to get over it.
Even if there's video footage of iBom doing better than players expect they'll likely still not want to invest in him because he's a tier below the other two champs I mentioned.

But if I read it right he kind of need max sig for bg.

Why would he be alluding to one and not his record in general? I mean of course there's six champs in the crystal but we don't know what exactly he's alluding to we'll find out soon enough.

Void does not have faster ramp lol he has to throw a bunch of sp1s before fear of the void actually does something, in terms of speed iBom is going to be faster for every matchup except against those that are poison immune which by the way can still be done with him you just have to go for sp3. Nobody uses him in BGs because of Inequity, but if he's in the crystal with that change into place it's for a reason.

@ViperOfChampion , from your post I thought it might be Ghost or Drax with their amazing invisibility skill. 🤣
In war he is the best dust counter too, with omega sentinel synergy.
I would love to see Viv over Nimrod, personally.
