How to Fix/Better the Secret Codes / Twitch Drops

Codes:
1. Make them go live at certain times during the stream or after the stream has ended
2. Time lock them - not entry lock
3. Dull down the rewards slightly to allow for more players to get them
4. Progression lock them
Twitch Drops
1. Make them accessible through trusted content creators’ streams
2. Up the ante/change them up every now and then - but don’t publicize - this way people will tune in to every stream so they don’t miss any drops
3. For longer streams add more tiers to them. If I watch a stream for an hour or an hour and thirty minutes…maybe even 2 hours if there’s a long stream - I’m going to want the next tier of rewards - maybe a small amount of shards or something - could be progression locked as well
4. Create a final tier for really long streams that offers very good rewards for people who watched from beginning to very end and didn’t skip around - not much leniency on the time watched on this one.
Explanation on why this works (codes - the drops are self explanatory): This time around I felt like I couldn’t adequately listen to what was being said because I was searching for codes and entering them in. With a code that releases at a certain time, at least I pay attention to a good portion of the stream. Now, to further this, if the rewards are dulled down a bit and progression locked, everyone can enter the code as long as they do it within the given amount of time. This at least rewards the people who were actively watching the stream and keeps those who didn’t watch from entering in a code hours later who didn’t watch. Obviously time compensation would have to be considered for the massive influx on the web store, but nonetheless you could time restrict it to a certain window. You’ll obviously have people that haven’t been watching enter codes but you were going to have that either way. Progression locked would allow endgame and valiants (or whatever new highest progression will be) to be rewarded, but not discount other or new/casual players. This still allows you to have that “scavenger hunt” feel and retain the secret codes, but makes them more accessible without giving players too much.
