Sigil store + Daily Super Event selector efficiency

Hi all.

Recently re-subbed to the sigil store and reminded myself of the ability to trade in 20 T3A for a single T4A. I like to pick up T4A shards through the Daily event but with the above and the recent buff to the event in mind, I just looked at the numbers and it transpires that with access to the sigil store, choosing the T3A from the daily super event gets you a T4A catalyst faster than you would by selecting T4A shards.

Briefly;

T4A Catalyst = 57,000 shards, Daily event selector rewards 4,000 per day, meaning 16 days of T4A selector rewards a full T4A + 3,000 shards leftover.

20 T3A Catalysts = 900,000 T3A shards, Daily event selector rewards 80,000 T3A shards, meaning just 12 days for 21 catalysts, which you can trade in for a T4A and have approximately 1.3 T3A leftover, and save 4 days of your Daily Super for the same result.

I think this is a once month purchase from the store but definitely something I'm planning on doing moving forward, let's hope Kabam don't see this as gamebreaking more than a reason to attract more people to the store 👀😅😂

You can’t get T3A from the DSE at the moment, can you?

They've recently added it again dude, 80,000 shards in line with the T6B, second tier of the DSE, just scroll to the right.

Oh damn I’ve been missing that 😆

Is that the final determination of what's in the new DSE ? (since wasn’t there erroneous wording regarding T3A vs T4A when it first was updated)

If so, nice catch, I’ll give you the @DNA3000 sponsored prize for analysis of the week.

Haha, the highest of honours 😂

I can't see a world where it stays this way to be honest. Considering T6B and T3A are always used 1 for 1, it's weird that you can claim roughly 1.4 T6B a a day and 1.8 T3A a day? Having said that, if you claimed 4 T6B a week and 3 T3A a week, that would come roughly to 5.6 T6B and 5.4 T3A, maybe that's the balance?

RE, like you mentioned, and heard another post actually complain about, the difference between Basic and Alpha.
It's only unbalanced if you're required to claim them in equal amounts.

So your example of 3 days and 4 days, or similarly just claim them in ratio's enough to keep them close to same in your inventory (or equal to the rate you use each one vs the other).

The other post was making it sound unfair, but only if they forced you to claim them in equal amounts/days, which they do not.

Imagine a world when anyone would have complained about free T6B/T3A before the daily super 😂

But also imagine a world where you need T6B/T3A to take both a 6 star and a 7 star to rank 4.
Actually, we don't have to imagine it.

57/4 ~ 14 not 16, but the conclusion is still valid, there is this arbitrage opportunity there. I doubt the economy people think it’s a big deal, it is not the first time there’s been weird arbitrage opportunities in the game available to players who figure them out.

As to the T3A/T6B balance thing, that’s almost certainly a mistake in the T3A fragments which were added to the DSE. But since the error grants more shards than originally intended, and correcting it would reduce that number, it is possible the devs will leave it alone as nerfing it would not be worth the hassle of explaining it. It creates an imbalance, but as others point out it’s under the players control, so it doesn’t force an actual long term resource imbalance.

15 for the full cat and 3k left over as stated but I was definitely wrong with my first calculation, appreciate you pointing that out 👍
