Please Kabam... stop changing war mid season.

We ranked things for defense based on the nodes you gave us. The whole fun of war is trying to find interactions that make fights hard for your opponent, while also figuring out ways to get around it on attack.

The node 1 and node 3 fights were fine as they were, and actually made it so we had to both think and play well. Don't take all the challenge out of war as 0-0 is not fun.

I get you need to cater to the lower tier players, so make the change on the Tier 2 and below map if you need to change it, but leave some challenge in Tier 1. It is possible to make people happy at both the high end and lower tiers.

Also rank down tickets for the defenders we ranked for the nodes you just nerfed to the ground mid season.

It's not a secret. This is a first iteration meant to test the map and playability

Ngl, I wouldn't rank defenders for a gamemode that is only here for 1 month and then probably never going to be here again.

Somebody in your alliance take Sersi to r4?

Thankfully not R4... but we had multiple people rank her up for defense for this season.

And it's normal to rank something for 1-2 seasons, just sucks when it's for a whopping 3 wars and then they change it.

There are good counters for Sersi on node 3.
High ranked 7 star Sentinel can definitely solo her. There are several demonstrations on YouTube proving it.
Archangel is also a good counter. You may time out 1 time though, because there is no 7 star version of him.
Sersi just punishes those players who don’t read her abilities and bring in Void against her.
So there is no need to change how node 3 works at all. If Kabam insist doing it, rank down tickets should be distributed for players who ranked her up during this war season.

I agree that the nodes were fine and I also agree thats what makes AW fun.. as OP described, the challenge of discovering good placement and good attack options.. as for rank ups, that's at the discretion of the player ranking them, though tbf.. if someone did make a rank up based on this version of AW, it's true they did expect to get a least a full season of use.. I can see the frustration

Node 1 will be kind of a joke now I think.. but we'll see
As for node 3.. I agree with Kabam that the written description was ambiguous at best and I understand the need for clarity - though I don't know that nerfing it was necessary

I personally make AW rank ups all the time, as it's my favorite game mode and what drives my roster, but I can see both sides.. on one hand I do expect to get the full "meta" time period when I do.. but I also only rank a champ that I also like

AA pretty much handles it.. it's fine to rank defenders, but just make sure you actually like them as well
Full disclosure.. I had a player in my group rank up Ironman with node 1 Photon in mind literal hours before the announcement 😂.. luckily he also likes him, but yeah I get the frustration.. now Photon can be just taken by her normal counters.. it destroys the fun which was trying to find outside of the box counters

What about those in tier 5 who may not hav a counter. Even in tier 6 and over could struggle.

Hard disagree on not changing nodes as they need to take into account unintentional interactions otherwise you are forced to revive through the fight. It's one thing to have to counter it with some strategy and another to literally having no counter.
