Jean has Reverse Controls, plus a forcefield that can tank a lot of damage with a relatively short cooldown. The Reverse Controls can catch anyone off guard if they do not have an RC immune like Jack o Lantern.
Spider Woman has Evade, Inequity mastery, and Fumble (prevents dexterity from being used during specials)
From my experience fighting them jean isn't too hard as long as you aren't using a champ that relies on crits but spiderwoman can get out of hand. Haven't tested them on attack though.
I have Jean at r4 sig60 and Spider Woman at r3 sig40 Both are Phenomenal. I'd say Jean takes the take with her damage mitigation and also having to play in Reverse controls but Apoder Woman has that evade and that can also be a Problem but I think its Jean but both are awesome 👌 and Amazing champ 🏆.
Looks like Jean is running away with it. Ive been banning spider woman since i dont have her, but heard you can just push her to sp2 to ignore the fumble. Then again she still has evade so probably slow fight if you do short combos?

Spider woman is rough for sure but Jean is deceptive. Her forcefield at r3 or 4 takes a while to chip down and she can really be tough to get down in 2 minutes

Gotta use someone with high damage to get through it

I have been, in bgs, and it's tough. Until you've actually fought a r4 Jean in bgs with a2 minute time limit its pretty hard to explain what you need to do to fight them lmao
I love jean, she's one of my favourite new champs for sure. Both are insane dual threats. I'd say on offense they're both very effective, they do very different things so I can't compare them head-to-head. Apples to Oranges. As for defense:
Maybe it's because I'm more comfortable with reverse controls, but Jean isn't too bad if you keep an eye out for the tells (when the controls might switch— force field depletion, after 1st hit of her specials). You don't necessarily need a counter for her, maybe someone that isn't crit reliant would be fine. Her force field can be a bit of a time sponge, but champs with good burst dmg or dot can take it down at a good pace. A tricky defender with more of a skill ask than an rpg one.
Spider woman on the other hand, I've found her to be extremely annoying to fight. Maybe it's because I'm not fighting her correctly, but she's a menace with her fumble (dex fail), inequity, power stings, and evade. Without a counter to her debuffs or evade, she's very annoying to deal with. That said, counters like Mantis and Okoye shut her down completely. So, for her I think it depends on whether you're able to draft a champ to deal with her defensive annoyances. If so, she's a lot easier, if not she's tougher imo.
For example: I've fought both champs with my r3 Vox, I could take down a 7* r4 Jean with a decent score after learning her defensive kit, but I timed out vs a 6* r5 ascended Spider woman. They were in different metas, but that didn't really affect Vox's offense nor give Jean/Spider woman an edge over the other defensively, so I think it's a decent point of comparison.
TLDR; Both great offensively, but defensively one has a skill ask, the other an rpg one. Jean's difficulty remains at a similar level across champs, but Spider woman's varies with counters.
He has evade increased physical resistance places power stings has the inequity mastery and reduces special damage by a a LOT, and this is made even worse by the inequity. I’ve seen Ham tank sp3s with almost no damage on attack because of that special ability

I pulled a 6* Spider Woman from the act 5 exploration rewards, she was not in the game when I quit…any good ? Tips ?
