Daredevil HK, Yellowjacket, Karnak and Civil Warrior would be my top picks.
Yeah karnak is so close to being great
Especially with massive block damage being an actual source of damage these days, he would've been great for this GC meta if he had a little more utility and faster ramp because the damage once he's fully ramped is already there just sucks that it takes 36 seconds for him to fully ramp and his damage is pretty bad before that.
Once I realised you can stack his sp2 furies it all became clear lmao. His damage is really solid in long form but yeah he just can't quite do short fights so that well
His pre-fights are great (although more Cleanse charge would be better...)
He's really tanky, and actually has great damage after a ridiculously long ramp-up.
However, his utility is a bit lacking; and his inability to re-armour makes him unusable against vast numbers of champions. Even if he could get his Armour back after 20s, that would be something!
He really needs an ability to recover his armour buff; and would be significantly better with some tweaks like:
more Cleanse charges on his Pre-fight (maybe 'generate one Cleanse charge every ten seconds?)
more effective Prowess removal (or Prowess Prevention, whilst a Suppression debuff is active...?)
better Auto-Targeting (maybe Special activation should generate a short-duration Pursuit or Vigilance passive...?)
I think Yellowjacket would be a great choice. His was really close to be a good buff back in the day, but I think he suffered a lot from his SP3 power sting not being able to reapply itself continuously until he was at sig 200. I can understand why they were hesitant about making that power sting damage to potent, but honestly, its potency is dwarfed considerably by - I'm pretty sure - every power sting champion that's come out afterwards.
My suggestion on how to buff him would be something along these lines:
Base kit changes:
- First, just give his Sp1 power stings a 100% chance to trigger. I don't understand why they only have a 90% chance.
- Just move his "Slow on Heavy" synergy into his base kit. Also, while we're at it, remove the Nuclear Core cost when fighting with Class Advantage.
- 100% chance to remove 10 Nuclear Core charges to lower the ability accuracy of incoming power sting debuffs by 100%. This can drain his Nuclear Core charges down to 40 even if his sig ability (see later) increases the Starting Charge. Having a lot of power stings applied on him would still be bad for his damage output since it would continuously drain his Nuclear Core, but I like the idea of the OG power sting champion having a way to deal with them.
- Finally, move his current sig into his base kit.
New sig:
- Raise Starting Charge for Nuclear Core by up to 20. Quicker ramp.
- The indefinite SP3 power stings can now stack up to 5. Each additional power sting after the first one lowers the Starting Charge for Nuclear Core by 5. Increased damage ramp for longer fight, but with an increasingly slower ramp for the Nuclear Core. It would lead to a significantly increased damage output, but it would also take 15 bars of power to get fully ramped up so it's not for most types of content.
- Against Mystic champs, trigger the indefinite power stings when one bar of power has been prevented by his abilities. Cooldown 45-12 seconds. He's supposed to be a counter to Mystics but his ability to prevent a lot of them from even gaining power properly could hamper his damage output. By triggering his power stings whenever they are denied enough power, he wouldn't have to worry about that.
Something like this. I think it would allow him to keep his Nuclear Core ramp up much more efficiently, giving him both a more consistent boost to damage and regen/power gain prevention. Additionally, the ability to stack indefinite power stings could potentially make him a powerhouse in endgame content, although I haven't crunched any numbers here so I don't know if my proposed idea would result in good or bad damage in, say, Necropolis.

The armor should come back after 10 seconds like other techs
That wans't even a buff but a Bug fix and extra seconds on his furies, even at that time it was soo insignificant that people don't even consider It happend
Give him a separate physical Vulnerability instead of putting on the stun and pause his taunts during specials, thats it for most players
I would say making the second ammount of weeb debuffs base kit and Awakening makes them more potent but you usually kill in one S2 and few hits
He needs exhaustion or physical vulnerability on his basic attacks needs more debuffs overall and higher damage output. His sig ability evade should be in his base kit and a new sig ability that increases his damage further similar to stark. All that give him better damage utility and will make him more of a threat on alliance defense again

Exaustion wouldn't help besides Sasquatch that he can already take on his own,His stun has physical Vulnerability by itself based on his taunts, his damage output is already realy good during the stun and his stun cannot be modified by champions, He already have 2% chance to evade per taunt and you usually gets 10 to 15
The best would be separate the physical Vulnerability from the stun and be a 15 seconds debuff, for the evade they can increase the chance per taunt to 3% and put a cap of 40% and increase the chance of taunt
Cull Obsidian might be the first champ who got nerfed in the past and now getting a buff lol...Please reverse namor's nerf 🥀
Or ... dr strange....
or scarlett witch and og thor
Scarlet witch is still amazing even after her nerf. What does that tell you? Og thor is also amazing in the right conditions. Their nerfs were needed as they were completely busted. Dr Strange was also needing to be nerfed but they went far overboard on his.
i did a post about buffing Storm (and Phoenix) a while back but it disappeared. Storm is an omega-level mutant goddess (and now host of Eternity) and her command of the weather/atmosphere allows her to do so much more than lightning/shocks. in addition to shocks, she could be applying bleed, rupture, cold-snap, frostbite, crush, exhaustion, fatigue, concussion.
canonically, her mutant abilities automatically adjust her physiology to off-set temperature extremes so she should be immune to cold-snap & frostbite. she has one of the strongest wills in the marvel universe and the electrical activity in her brains make it extremely hard for telepaths to manipulate her (she shutdown prof x when he tried to forcibly enter her mind) so she should be immune (or at the very least highly resistant) to any debuffs that are psychic/telepathic in nature (e.g. reverse controls).

Storm is already great another mid champ could use a buff. She absolutely doesn't need a buff
GORR - I don’t know what they were thinking with this guy. He has the damage but so little utility. He takes more bleed poison and shock damage that he can heal from and he doesn’t even remove the regen modification that poison has . If bastion can ignore that so can he. Give him something else rather than mostly sp3 damage and make him more versatile. Make him resistance to bleed poison damage for each buff on him and give him back willpower. His regen isn’t even that good unless he’s almost dead so there is no need tor remove willpower, he’s really not that guy. Make intercepts a way to give him shadow magic buffs. And give him something cool like nullify immunity most cosmics have something like that nowadays. Let him power steal or have resistance to degen or something unique to make him stand out. He’s more of a trap defender nowadays so make him a decent dual threat

You had me till the thing of making him more of a defender
Just boost his Regen and add Immunity to regen rate modification, about the Intercept to get new shadow buffs i agree
And resistence for effects based on how many shadow buffs he has

It was a buff regardless of whether you liked it or not

Who likes 2 extra seconds on fury buffs?
Nobody consider this thing existed for a reason and we still don't know why they changed that in specific

The debuff healing is for defense not offense
It's very clutch on offense depending or opponent or node,it can easily be a live saver

It was actually 6 seconds and still not make a difference for him,how did they fumble something that was just add numbers

old habits don't change
She is one best standalone mystic champ and solid champ over all
