Awakening 4* gems

I have been playing this game for a long time. Right when it first started. Basic hero’s, they only went as high as 4*s. You could use 2*s only to win 3*s, in tournaments. Anyways, the whole time I’ve been playing, I’ve only every been given one handful, 2-3 awakening gems. It would be nice to at least give us an opportunity to buy them or earn them. You can earn 3* ones, and since Kabam raised it to 6* champions, I feel 4* Duping should be reachable. Let me know what you think??

    I have a Dr. Strange for like 3 years, all I want to do is dupe him. 3 years on and off, it gets frustrating not ever getting him on 4 * shards or anything else. Help us out a little. I heard about 3 weeks ago, Kabam offered 4* awakening gems to a number of people, people that don’t play often, it would be nice to be rewarded for playing and checking in everyday....

    Just out of curiosity, how many 4* champs do you have? And of those, how many are awakened/duped? @OG_Theman69


    Personally I've been playing for a year and 3 months, I have 66 4* champs, and of those 66, 31 are awakened/duped. Some of which I've duplicated 2-4x. I've been given a few 4* awakening gems from random occurrences (the major compensation package form last year). I've also earned a few from the harder challenges like the Goldblum and MBJ Challenge. I've seen them for sale as well. So I'm just trying to figure out why you feel 4* duping isn't reachable? Are you in an active Alliance? If not, that's probably the reason you haven't been able to duplicate that many champs.A little under 50% of my 4* squad isn't awakened. That's not half bad if you ask me. They almost give away shards everywhere these days. Even 5* champs are easier to get now.

    I have 11 4*s with 4 duped. Percentage wise, it’s not half bad. But I only was only able to dupe them with one package of something Kabam gave me. I am in an active alliance. Whenever I check out this forums, people say that Kabam only gives, certain people a chance to buy them. I have never seen them for sale. The last one I heard of, like 3 weeks ago, was selling for $5. Over the years I’ve been selling off 4*s and 3*s for shards, I only keep the champions I like, so to have 4 duped 4*s all at once, for 2 years, is crazy. I have no problem spending the money. I just want the offer...

    Well that's your biggest mistake right there. NEVER sell champs. You get WAY more shards for duplication than you do for selling. PLUS, it brings you closer to getting Max Sig Crystals which also award additional shards (and a shot at the Immortal Iron Fist in either 3*, 4*, or 5*). Not to mention it ups your personal rating, in turn making you more likely to get picked up by a higher rated Alliance. I know it seems like a moot point, but rating is something Officers look for. I know, I'm one of them. If you start holding on to champs instead of selling them, overall you will get more shards, in turn, more shots at duplication. Yes, they don't give you a ton of chances at 4* awakening gems. But a gem only gives you 1 sig level. A duplication of a 4* will give you 20 sig levels (and 275 5* shards). A 3* dupe will get you 55 4* shards and 8 sig levels. I dupe 3* champs all the live long day. You also will raise your overall Prestige faster when you rank up a good duplicated champ. I have 8x R5 4* champs, 10x R4s, and 22x R3s. These also allow me to gain points in arena faster to pickup champs I want that I haven't pulled via crystal. I got Winter Soldier, Captain America (WWII), Black Panther, Agent Venom, The Hood, Angela, Nebula, Star Lord, and Spider-Man (Stark Enhanced) via 4* Basic Arena. Some I did to awaken ones I had, others to get the champ. I'll be running the Mephisto & Morningstar arenas to awaken mine. Also will be grinding the Blade arena to get and awaken him. You're selling yourself short of awakening good champs, pulling good champs, or getting good champs via Arena when you sell off not ideal champs. Between AW, the Monthly EQ, Alliance Events, Arena, duplicates, and the Various Calendar Rewards I open on average 2-3 4* crystals weekly. Not to mention all the Class ISO and Gold I get from all the dupes from the PHCs. Every 2-3 months I see Kabam offering a Class deal on awakening gems as well. You also must have missed the Black Friday and Digital Monday deals Kabam offered. Personally I wouldn't spend money on offers for awakening gems. Others I have, just not those. You can also earn 1 from 100% of Act 4, in Act 5, from the occasional Challenges (Bautista, Web-Slinger, Goldblum, Micheal B Jordan), completion of Road to the Labyrinth, etc. So I hope this enlightened you on how to move ahead, get more 4+* champs, and awaken them. @OG_Theman69

    Since kabam brought out 6 stars maybe it's time for them to put 4* awakening stone into the great crystals like the 3* are now and then keep the 5&6* awakening stones for offers .
    Well they keep saying the game is progressing so this makes perfect sense does it not 4* are pretty much the new 3*'s so treat them as such

    I don't disagree with that either. They probably should at this juncture add the 4* Class Awakening Gems to a Crystal you can earn, such as the Greater Solo Crystal. Or make a new one that requires different shards to make. But there's ways currently to pull it off. Granted you can't do it to the degree we'd like, or have absolute control over who gets awakened as it is. Just the same, there's ways. As I listed in detail above.
