As a background, I beat act 5 already. Have one run at lol under my belt, a couple of dozen maxed 4*, five r4 5*, and maxed 5* blade.
I've been reading all the comments from different people about the changes on AQ. And to be honest, from day I've always thought it wasn't a big deal.
I mean, how hard could these sentinels be if I beat them handily on last month's event quest?
From my perspective it was just a matter of adapting. And that's the approach I took, and I am still willing to take.
Four days into AQ and I didn't really see what the fuss was about. I mean, I made it to the dormamu on each day and helped with minibosses when available. What else was there to it?
Then this morning I took a closer look at my inventory. In total I have used 14 lvl 3 pots, and 7 lvl 4 alliance pots, 2 lvl 1 revives, and 2 lvl 2 revives.
I realized, that I have never used or even come close to using that many even on AW in one week.
I guess AQ has been feeling easy cause I've just been tapping into my large inventory and overflow.
So what is it with these sentinels. I mean, they are beatable right, bring the right champs, and don't play like a noob right?
I've given it my best so far. There are some things that almost everyone agrees you must keep in mind. Like use Thor for every class sentinel except skill, or mystic. Or try your rogue against skill, and use your science against mystic, etc.
The problem with these dudes is if you don't manage to take them down in a very timely manner. Then they get to their 50 charges, their sp2s remove your blocking proficiency(when they aren't unblockable) and well you then are dead. A lot of times you spend half the time trying to bait their sp1s, but by the time they are generous enough to drop an sp1 they've already reached their 50 charges.
Also, in order to ensure class advantage you have to plan out the entire map. Which would be alright if there weren't 9 other people also looking for class advantage. Which wouldnt be a huge deal if we didnt have to plan for poison, bleed, power gain, debuff immune already. Really, I wanna leave all the heavy planning for the hardcore people that does map 6.
But anyway, some of all that stuff would be nice and fun. But when bunched all together it makes for a nightmarish experience.
I AM ALSO WILLING TO ACCEPT THAT I SUCK AT PLAYING THIS GAME. And quite frankly, that could very well be the case. Maybe, I'm making too many mistakes, maybe I'm not being patient, maybe I'm not bringing the right champs, I dont know, tons of different "user end" variables.
In that spirit I am still open to give this thing one more week of trying. Maybe I can get better, maybe I can avoid making certain mistakes, maybe I can try different champs. But the bottom line is my item usage has to come down.
Otherwise I'm looking at abandoning AQ, or trying map 3 I don't know. It's this is not a threat, is just you know, staying away from something that isn't fun or rewarding.
I just thought you guys at Kabam
@Kabam Miike @Ad0ra_ @Kabam Vydious @Kabam Wolf would appreciate the input of one of your mid class customers. Hoping we can all find a way of not disrupting the gaming experience.
Thanks guys
