Miles evading with iceman

I am on act 5 chapter two part 4 lines in the sand. On the limber path the first opponent is Miles. I bring in my duped iceman which is supposed to prevent evade for the first 12 seconds but miles evades just as crazy as he normally does

I know he goes the every seven seconds of debuff is removed but he is dodging from the start well before 7 seconds kicks in
