I got him at 6.8 and this was probably the highest I reached since that arena at the beginning at the year... he's good unduped and I'm definitely not grinding a second time..I can't see how many people do it every arena

If you all use a 2nd account and put in minimum rank milestones more player will get Blade. But doing arenas is like a second job.

All of you should ask Kabam. To allow 50% of players who enter arenas to get the champ and better prizes. They will sell more arena packs and more people will buy them if they have a better chance of getting the champ.

I wonder if actually the cutoff will be higher. I was thinking that since round 1 went 5.3 mil. There are a lot of people who can’t get to that number no matter what. So they will just drop out and not try. Wonder if that will make the field less saturated and then spiking the cutoff to a much higher number. Or maybe the typical people will so go for 1.5 to get rewards.

Don’t get stressed out if you don’t get a 4* Blade, just remember a lot of new content is being designed for 5* and 6* champs, which have higher health pools and stronger attacks.

It is unlikely that lower participation will make the cutoff go higher in this particular case. About 12500 people got Blade in round 1, which means about 125,000 reached minimum milestones. About 100k of them scored 2 million or less, and only around 25k made any realistic effort to reach top 10%. Assume that most of the 100k that did below 2 million were mostly going for milestones, and a similar number run round 2. If on top of that every single player that reached top 10% entered round 2 and did the same effort, so the cutoff simply moved upward from 12.5k to 10k, the cutoff score would have risen upward from about 5.3 to 5.7 million. And that's extremely unlikely to begin with.

If the cutoff goes higher, it will be because a lot of players push harder in round two and the overwhelming majority of players that got him in round one are willing to grind again to awaken him in round two. That also seems unlikely to me, so I think the cutoff will drop in round two. However, that's only the likely outcome, it is not the guaranteed outcome. Most of the time in the history of the arena when the first round was higher than expected or much higher than normal the second round was significantly lower. But there have been exceptions, and Blade could be that exception.

If you really want him, push as hard as you reasonably can or are willing to go. Ultimately, the cutoffs are dictated by the collective will of the grinders and how far they are all willing to push. If enough of them are willing to do more than you, they will beat you. That's what makes cutoffs ultimately not hard to guestimate within a wide range, but impossible to predict with precision. Sometimes the prediction itself can influence the cutoff if enough people believe it and can target around it. It doesn't happen as often as some people think, but it does happen occasionally.
