Lessons learned from aw season 1-2

Dear kabam and summoners

I wanna summarize the lessons learned from war season 1-2

In season 1 people got crazy and all wanted to gain the maximum prize so they searched, hired, utilised the best players of the game who are then called pilots. Crazy things happened in season 1 and of course as we saw at the end of the season most got what they actually didnt deserved. So something had to be done by kabam and boom prior to season to we saw lowered alliance points by which kabam infact said “be careful guys we detected you and take this as a gentle warning”. But this of course hadnt stopped cheaters whom are addicted to getting things in easy wat and without effort. By the way all the cheaters, even detected, got away with it and got the highest prizes.

Then season 2 came... However, ppls already had learned that kabam was checking ips (of course country based and same ip uses by multiple users). So they had to find new generic ways to cheat because the prizes were to good to be lost. The nature of human being is always creative about finding ways to break the rules. So they have actually found. New ipads were utilised, verbal contracts about weekly prices were made and The guys, giving 5-10 kills to easy opponents were suddenly blessed with gods hand and of course with some vpn help and now they even barely loose some health against boses. Some allies were preferred to make 2*wars which i treat as more ethical than using pilot for your own account. Accepted as strategy we saw really comic stiuations like |||||||||| nick names. This clever action may be strategy but is really clean and make sense? Lastly but the most importanly we witnessed even one of the most famous allies, which once having some sayings about ethical conduct in their ally board, were rumored to be cheating (most believe and some actually know they did but of course since most evidences are not treated as evidence it cant be proved)

So we are going to encounter season 3 but upto now the experineces revealed that;

1) Actions taken by kabam was not enough to stop cheating or to dissuade ppls attempting cheating

2) cheater got away with what they did and their prizes werent taken back

3) even If whole of the earth knows that there is cheat if its not proven %100 you can continue to do it

4) Acquring something with illegal ways is not only done by the poors.

So lets hope we will have cleaner and more fair season3.

Even all the bad things i would like to thank kabam to make us have this game.

Best regards

Why would top alliances that use piloting stop when the method to pilot is undetectable by Kabam?

The method used for piloting you mention above actually abides by the ToS. It's a loophole, but in accordance to what the ToS states.

    1. Shipping devices around is still account sharing, and still prohibited by the TOS. I don't know why you think there's a loophole that allows piloting in this way, but the TOS states:
You may not use anyone else’s Account at any time and you may not allow anyone else to use your Account at any time. You agree that Kabam will not be liable for any loss you may incur as a result of someone else using your Account, either with or without your knowledge, and you further agree that you will be liable for losses incurred by Kabam or another party due to someone else using your Account.
    (emphasis mine).

The TOS prohibits you from allowing someone else to use your account. It doesn't matter if that account is used on another device.

    2. This method is not completely undetectable. It is more difficult to prove. In fact, it is sufficiently difficult to prove that I would recommend severe penalties for using it. But it is not impossible to detect. In fact, given my understanding of how it is currently being done, it is actually not difficult at all to detect. But how difficult it is to prove depends on the level of certainty you need to have. There's no such thing as perfect certainty, but perfect certainty isn't necessary to act.

The bigger question remains, can we call them "lessons learned" if the lesson wasn't actually learned and systems/policies changed to address said lessons? The same issue has been prevalent in both AW seasons with no significant progress made public.

For this reason, a lot of major US consulting firms will prohibit the use of the term simply because of the liability associated with it. If it's claimed as something learned, it can then be reasonably inferred that future recurrences of the same issue happens again because they knew of it and did nothing to stop/change it and are then complicit in it happening.

Which then leads to the standard Kabam statements of "we are aware of the issue...we are working to resolve it...we cannot disclose the disciplinary actions taken against specific accounts/alliances...please refer to the TOS..."

After a while, it's all just legal lip service to cover their butts.

If you come to terms with the fact that it’s not even or level competition it’s not as hard to swallow. There’s a reason they won’t disclose any actions. It’s similar to how they wouldn’t discuss drop rates of crystals. Would you disclose those rates unless you had too?. Season 3 will be no different. A lot has been learned. Enough to figure out how this system works. Who does it and their rewards.

I agree with you there. The ToS does state you can't use another persons account. However, I would argue that particular verbiage is to cover Kabam's behind in case someone steals your account and spends your resources or deletes your champs. It allows Kabam to be free from any accountability not to directly address piloting.

I would also like to bring up that using multiple devices per account is allowed by Kabam ToS. This is where people take advantage of what is and is not allowed. Sending someone a mobile device with your account loaded and using some additional software to obfuscate your location enables you to pilot multiple accounts with very little chance for Kabam to detect and be 100% sure you are indeed being piloted.

As we've seen over the course of 2 seasons, people will go to any lengths to pilot and cheat. This will not be any different in Season 3.

This cheating is eventually gonna kill the game. From beginning of the seasons we are just talking about the cheats, pilots and this is getting ridiculus. Kabam should really find effectie solutions to this problem. Because, considering the latest disgusting cheating issues and screens, kabam or the blamed ones never said there is no cheat, the only thing that has been said is that we can not be sure abaout cheats since we havent been able to detect it yet. What makes me most sick about those cheaters is they are now laughing and getting away with what they did.

I dont believe those screens are fake because nobody can delete his account on purpose and try to harm his ally in that way.

The idea of “whole community gathered to make an ally get punishment because community is jeaolous about them” is also weird because there are no rumors about top1 and top2 which will get more rewards.

So the communities’s reaction to latets collusion is really sincere and community feels deceived. On one side there are mid-level skilled ppls playing their own accounts honestly using lots of potions boosts but on the other side the there are cheaters who just pay to win.

These stiuation corrupts the system and the ineffectiveness of measures taken by kabam really demotivate ppl? Community has been feeling that cheaters are getting away with their actions.

This will eventually deteriorate our game and we will leave this game to 20-30 pilots who will then just beat themselves.

Take action before its too late and pls dont forget the honest part of the community is more powerfull than the cheaters so dont hesistate to punish any one breaking tos

    Thanks

I still dont get the gray areas of cheating that is treated lightly than others. Like, permaban for third party software use, yet piloting is met with a week's suspension. Lessons that I learned from AW: injustice exists.
