Why Isn’t voodoo’s ability accuracy reduction working in some cases

Recently in the Evangeline challenge and normal fights, when I use voodoo’s special attack on a odd combo it is said isn’t the description that ability accuracy is reduced by 50%, but that isn’t the case, in the Evangeline challenge, the node says a 35% chance to glance an attack, so I use voodoo, -50% ability accuracy, but still he glances, how is 35% - 50% not lower than zero, and zero ability accuracy means the opponents ability shouldn’t work or is my math wrong, also this happened to me while fighting a spider man, he had a 23% chance, did the same thing with voodoo, still he evaded. Both times I fought against a class disadvantage but there is no where written that voodoo’s sig ability does not work against class

Glancing works a little differently than many abilities in this game in that it doesn't seem to be affected by ability accuracy reduction.
In the early days of Alliance War, Black Widow was a star because at sig level 99, she could reduce defensive ability accuracy by 100%, which made her an ideal counter to thorns. As thorns is considered a defensive ability, a level 99 Black Widow took no damage from such a node.
However, Ant Man became a counter on that node thanks to his Pym Gas Control (sig ability). Black Widow, even with -100% defensive ability accuracy, couldn't stop Glancing Blows from triggering. As Glancing Blows reduce ability accuracy themselves, her signature ability wouldn't work and she would receive Thorns damage on glancing blows.
This is working as intended. You won't be able to shut down Glancing Blows.
50% decreased accuracy of 23% evade = 11.5%
Voodoo aside, another good example is the way Nebula's electroshock charges versus robot's ability accuracy work. Each charge reduces 20%. That does not mean that with five charges, the robots are at zero. Yes, the first charge reduces it by 20 (20% of 100), but the second 'only' by 20% of the remaining 80 (so 16). And the third only 20% of the remaining 64. Et cetera. So to get it all the way down to (about) zero, you need far more charges than five.
