    Doesn't matter if you think it's a good answer or not, it's the actual answer.and 100% accurate. Accept or not. The reel has always and will always mean absolutely nothing. Try opening a max sig crystal, and you'll see the Sig stones and awakening gems roll through and not see the 3/4/5/6* shards until the reel animations stop or slow down.

    Your champion selection is made as soon as you-
    1. Pop open the crystal without spinning.
    2. Place the crystal on the spinner.

    After placing the crystal to spin, its all just a visual show and means nothing.
