a bunch of cry babies who are complaining about something you had total control over, kabam did not make you sell your champs, you all CHOSE to sell them!!
you literally get nothing for selling 1* champs, so again these are the prices you pay, lol now drop that 50 units, or you can wait as Kabam Mike stated because this is permanent content.
If it were a guaranteed 1*, sure. I made a mistake, I can own up to it I'll cough up the 50 units. But it's not. If I have to pay and only have a 20% to fix my mistake, why bother? It's a cheap move.
Everyone keeps saying 'kabam never told you to sell your 1*'s' and while that may be true, they very well implied we wouldn't need them anymore when they stop giving us ways to obtain them. Years ago.
I will be completely honest here. To those saying its unfair about the drop rate and cost of the 1 and 2* crystal, look at what your getting in return. A 5* crystal or two and rank up gems and awakening crystal. For 5*. Plus some t5b and 6* shards. Now is 50 to 250- units worth that?
So if I spend just those 50 to 250 units I get all those rewards you are naming? What a great deal! Lol
All I hear is people not taking accountability for their actions. And to me that’s funny. You want Kabam to reward you for making a mistake. Even if that mistake is mundane to you.
It wasn’t a mistake. It was ENCOURAGED by Kabam back in the day. Smh
If that was the case, it was before my time. Since 1-Stars didn't give any Shards, could you let me know what we did to encourage that? I want to make sure we're not still doing something like that for new players.
Since it was quite a while ago, I’ll admit I may be mistaken on the shards part. But didn’t they at least give us gold or some other in-game currency to help with growing the higher star champs in our rosters, which would have encouraged a players decision to sell them off, which otherwise why even offer the option? I mean, the game and it’s limited resources back then created/encouraged to some degree a sound reason to sell off the lower star champs. I do remember when it felt like a sound idea to sell them off, but then after some time it didn’t. And also too, this is my first mobile device game I’ve ever played, so in the beginning I had never even heard of a forum for a game. And I don’t believe I’m the only one in that boat.
My apologies if any of my comments ruffled any feathers. This circumstance emotionally charged me for some reason. I even edited a post that may have been seen by a few that would have only brought more toxicity into the forums. There’s been quite a bit I’ve not been a fan of with the decisions made by the company, but enjoying the game overall is why I’ve been here since near the start and still spend a decent amount of real money (and a lot of time) on it. I have no issues in spending in-game currency for ending up on the bad side of this deal (that I or anyone else couldn’t have seen happening 4 or so years down the road), but why not just offer either a 1* crystal or at least another form of a hero crystal that has an 80/20% chance in favor of a lower star (1* in this case) like every other hero crystal?
In closing, thanks @Kabam Miike for all you do. You take a lot of flack (which I’m guilty of giving in the past), but you’re time invested all these years is proof enough that you have a passion to do what you’re doing for Kabam and us. This forum has felt like Kabam (and the so-called Kabam cronies, labeled by others ;-)) against the rest of the community for far too long. Complaints are inevitable. The RNG system can be down right rotten. Let the time from time complainers (I’ve been one) get it off their chest and vent. It’s their perception that won’t be changed no matter how much the other side thinks otherwise. If you don’t like someone else’s views and comments, move along. Why add salt to their wound? Maybe try to help them see another perspective without argument.
Anyhow, I’ll get off this little tiny soapbox. Here’s to another day.

It's not a mistake to get rid of worthless champs to get resources to rank ones you can use. Now if the game stated that you will need these champs again one day as a warning then you could consider it a mistake. I love all the self righteous players coming out of the woodwork telling people i told you so like they actually new they would have worth one day.

for selling fully ranked 1 star champs you got half the iso and gold you put into them. seems like a no brainer when you are trying to get the resources to rank champs you actually need. Like I said before if anyone from the game mentioned that there may be a need for these champs one day no one in there right mind would of sold them. don't be a **** mate luckily you didn't sell yours so you can throw it in others faces.
I understand that I shouldn’t have sold my 1* champs but in all fairness why is selling champs even an option? I really would feel a lot better paying 100 units for guaranteed 1* champion. I think 1* champions should be available in the 1v1 crystal for everyone. A cavalier player shouldn’t be gated by a 1* that they don’t have access to anymore. I’m not counting the 50 unit 20% chance as access because it’s more like highway robbery.
Sorry but regardless I think they should come out with an *extremely reasonable 1* crystal* or an event offering 1* crystals. The current offering + state of the situation seems very shady to me. I dont know why any player would be expected to know to save their 1*s period. Rosters get so bloated that 1*s would be the logical thing to eliminate imho. Anyways I think in the interest of customer relations KaBam should give this a hard look and be more reasonable to their player base.

¯\_(ツ)_/¯
(I bought them because I totally misread what they were and thought they were collector crystals not the bog-standard hero ones)
