Aegon has a higher upside but hes got a long ramp up to get there. Nick Fury kicks ass right out the gate. Useful in more content imo. Plus great synergies and when he dies he makes your other champs even better. Win/win.

I have all 3 duped as 5s...I really haven't played enough with Fury though I use him with quake & CMM - his second phase I find is very risky (especially with suicides ad I run both sides) and you're liable to die easily despite all the damage (so that's me not playing enough with him to git gud). Blade has his regen and can still kick content especially when villains are around, but once you can ramp up it's Aegon for me - shrugs off everything, kills everything after 4 fights.
