AOL buff heavy champ counter

I'm planning on doing a run on AOL in near future and seen that a counter to buff heavy champs is mandatory. I've seen sym supreme and doom as most commonly mentioned.

I don't have either doom or sym supreme so I was curious if anyone has used other counters on buff heavy champs. I have 5-65 vodoo and CV who are the ones I've been thinking should work but haven't seen them mentioned in AOL conversation yet so wanted to see if anyone is using buff champ counters other than doom and sun supreme.

Magik you'd definitely need high Mystic Dispersion so you can be unloading L3s to reliably nullify buffs.

Claire Voyant is probably the next best AOL option behind Doom & Sym

Try bwcv but tbh you might have to wait until you pull sym or doom.

DV will work as well. Sp1/3 cycles and watch the poison tick.

Against poison immunes though... good luck 😂

I haven't done an Abyss run yet, but in terms of strong champions in general that are good buff counters there's Venom who can nullify buffs with SP1 and heal off them, and then there's Hood who can stagger buffs and both nullify and fate seal them with SP2.

Well YeetOS has a youtube vid of his AOL initial clear using Morningstar, if that helps.

If you dont have Doom or Sym Supreme hen I would wait. I used Sym and it was still aong fight with multiple revives.

BWCV won't have good damage output and it'll take really long.

I was in the same boat as you and brought my 5/65 bwcv, she was absolutely useless except for cull who she destroyed (as should any nullify champ) other than that her dmg output is too low... I used aegon for all the cosmic/buff heavy champs, he was surprisingly good, got medusa down in 3 revives, Hyperion down in 5, the champion down in 2, honestly just use aegon his dmg output his high enough that he still gets the fights down fairly easy, even vtd I got down in around 6-8 revives which was because he activated regen twice and I had to quit out. Hardest fight with aegon is cmm who is an absolute pain but you get through it

I'm worried about using resources to get to the point to where I'd have to test it out so am once again very interested in anyone has actually personally accomplished it (or seen vids of someone who has) without doom or sym supreme.

I did it without doom or SS or HT or Aegon. And can say from the grind i will be waiting until I have aegon/doom before I do exploration

    I used
    NF R5
    CMM R5
G2099 R5(probably the least relevant champ for abyss from my experience)
    Namor R5
    Stealth spidey R4
Not having a nullifier mad some fights way longer then they needed to be
I used 6k units up to the collector then an odins on him lol

Can safely say I’d probably use half of that or less with Aegon and doom

When I have the proper champs will have a very different team as well will have HT r5 soon
Then go aegon, doom NF and stealth spidey who is r5 now

Thanks for the helpful information. So you were able to get through every fight with just aegon and didn't have any real counters to buff heavy champs (other than the bwcv attempt)?
Yeah just aegon, other than him and bwcv, I brought nf, torch, and quake, the buff heavy champs all have the lower 2.4mil health pool so aegon gets through them pretty easy, and because of infinite parry, you can just parry and hit them 2-3 times when they go unstoppable. I had nothing in my stash and only had to use 4K units
