A gear system doesn't fix that but adds to it. Because I would use that gear on corvus and make him better and that compounds the issue. Or it's champ specific which creates more grinding.
Unique syn fixes it and makes champs usable. How much better is strange with his syn that counterspell does damage. Little tweaks that make a new champ more desirable and older more usable is always the solution. It causes no more grinding than already in game.
Maybe better unique syns if you like or a rework of older champs is what your looking for.
Unfortunately I don't think this is viable for mcoc as kabam by the look of things are going to use a gear system in mroc, why implement it here and potentially stop players moving to their new game

Self-synergies so as not to disrupt regular quest CPU defenders or AW defense. Bonus: it should happen significantly faster because the impact would make a much smaller footprint on the game.
They need to just do slight buffs to tons of champs from stuff like health to attack boost o increasing potency of they abilities Things like this won’t take long and they can still continue on with the full reworks

it's too late. You're talking about a major revamp that Kabam won't do. Like if you want a gear system they might as well make MCOC 2. It's just not possible because new champs come out all the time so would they have to then specifically make a gear that makes them better and on top of that demi to above god tier champs would be allowed this as well which in turn makes them OP and can clear stuff faster. Once Kabam sees this they'll make content way harder and the gear system would be the next cash grab for them because they would come out with a gear that makes this super impossible content easy and then they'll rinse wash repeat. That's something i don't want to be apart of
Those gears would still need balancing, and would introduce that gears as well, witch you'd have to bring somehow as well. I'd prefer them just buffing trashy champs massively, like 12.0, but buff, not nerf. Or just removing lame champs like iron patriot or mkk

Why would I ditch my roster and start from scratch on a new Marvel game just because it highlights a gear system? I wouldn’t and I doubt many upper tier and long-term players are too.
I always doubted Kabam's business decision on this one.

But for me personally, not only will I not ditch this roster I have built, but I just don’t physically have the time to grind another game. I would have to stop playing something else and tbh, I don’t even have the time to do much more than check in and do some inventory stuff elsewhere
That’s just my situation, though. I can see myself checking it out but I already know that no matter what it looks like, I simply cannot add another grind and/or spend. Not enough hours in the day
