  Non-guardian here - some seem helpful & informative, others seem very antagonistic & trollish. No names will be called, but make of that what you will - 2 opposite sides of the spectrum from what I've seen.

  Honestly, I just find myself on the forum a lot, which is why I applied for guardian when they posted it. I don't do much more than I already would, except maybe explain a few things I would normally just let slide, or make sure I flag a few threads for moderators if I feel they are breaking any rules of the forums.
  
  I try to be civil in threads, but my sarcasm comes out sometimes.

  then the other one I see a lot just makes duel target threads (those are dying), and let’s people know there’s a thread for this.
  
  there are others (like the one in this thread) that I don’t see often.
  
  also, TIL that Zola isn’t a guardian. which is weird, he’s be a perfect fit.

  I wonder how a voting system would fare to give guardian powers and take them away.
  
  Although some ppl might just vote to take away the powers of a guardian they dont like.
  Still it would be cool to give the power if choosing guardians to us forum members

  Being a guardian doesn't make you different that a regular player, on the forums. You are treated the same way they are.
  
  I personally became a guardian because everytime I can, I have the forum tab opened, and usually refresh it in order to find the new threads and discussions. And when possible, comment on them to either give feedback, or to answer the question provided. Is something I like doing, and often just going straight to the point.
  
  I mostly use evidence and logic in my comments, which at the same time makes me look like the "voice of reason". When something like that happens, you are likely to be ignored or hated by the "emotional" players around here. You may end up ending to deal with trolls everytime you post something as well, despite you trying to be constructive and actually give a correct, decent answer to something.
  
  Is a common thing to happen around everywhere, not just online. Despite all that, I never received a warning or something, and some of those more emotional people, as well as trolls, that tried to get me banned ended up banning themselves, due to the non-constructive comments used.
  
  Other than personal reasons that comes out of it, it's not a burden to be a guardian. You have no more additional tasks or obligations to do than a regular forum member has. You also have the ability to flag some posts, which is a reason why you may end up seeing something non-constructive, or just hate iself, being quickly removed/deleted by the moderator's themselves.
