Slightly confused on the AW changes

I try and keep up with all the updates. Maybe I missed something.
So far what I thought was going to happen was, increased rewards for seasons, a focus on moving away from tactics, and a map that used nodes to get away from the same tactic every time you play.
What I see is harder nodes, the same tactics with the addition of one that nerfs ghost and quake and no real change in rewards.
Perhaps you can brag that the map is smaller on the technicality that your not wasting energy teleporting but you have the same tactics, harder nodes, and the same rewards... wow... kabam.
Oh and the fix on matchmaking seems to be going well, we are facing an alliance that is a shell 13 million points above us. Well done

But it is all good! Those platinum and gold alliances will get lots of rewards and soon be back in their respective slots..."don't worry! It will all work our In the wash! for the gold and platinum tiers!!!"
And i don't see reward improvement except at the very top so this exercise is for a bunch of whining twits who don't think they been getting what they deserve???
What about the top alliances that won their matchups? Did they to scam the system or did they figure out how to win their perspective matchups?
It is a simple matter of numbers. The overwhelming majority of alliances fall into those two brackets. If you think this somehow benefits top alliances you are mistaken.
Perhaps you think of all alliances with well developed rosters as "top" alliances. That's just not true. Top alliances are just that, the very best of the best. They are by definition the minority.
This change affects the middle of the pack the most. And by your logic, they need those rewards to perhaps grow into a top alliance.
