So I have a few questions about upcoming champs...

Hey Kabam team,

First off, congrats on continuously improving our gaming experience by hearing the feedback from the fans.

With that being said, I am curious about the process of selecting new champs to come to MCOC. When you guys sit at the boardroom table, do you guys make decisions based on how obscure a character is or is it based on the team's collective knowledge on a particular comic storyline? Based on the game's story telling, I'm guessing you guys try to bring champs that can have synergies and crossover stories with existing champs.

If this is the case, would you guys be open to the idea of creating a new sub-class that existed within the 6 classes? An example of this would be the Logia type from One Piece. They all have the ability to change their body composition to elemental types.

What if you guys started adding champs that fit this description and they brought unique debuffs/utilities such as "Drown", "Sand-blasted", floral intoxication/hallucinogens" ect? They would fit within the 6 classes but because there's a specific subsection, it would bring in more unique champs rather than variations of champs we already have.

Anyway, please share your thoughts on this.

They've said more than once characters are chosen based on the stories they want to tell. Some, though, are clearly dictated by the MCU movies, but there's clearly some leeway given Black Panther's movie event didn't see a new BP added, but Hulk (Ragnarok) was.

Dude Immortal Hulk is an awesome comic and these aren't "versions of champs we already have" in a sense. You'd say that only if you didn't read Immortal Hulk. The Hulk we have is Savage Hulk. Stronger as he gets angrier, comes out when mad. Immortal Hulk is a completely different beast. Intelligent, evil, sadistic and cruel, only comes out at night. Literally doesnt die and can live sliced to pieces. The genre is closer to horror.

Spoiler alert but Immortal Abomination isnt really Abomination either. It's the carcass of Abomination fused with other people to make a horrid...well...abomination, rather than emil blonsky the mutate.

Awesome dude. I thought that only I had read immortal hulk here in the forums. Many are like we already have hulk. But this is a completely different character. Particularly I like his grin.
But I think they should have added leader instead of abomination.

I agree that they're not identical but the point is, we have duplicates of champs we already have (Captain Marvel, Ironmen, Spiderman, Black Widows). Black widow is a good example of a champ we already have but a welcome addition as the new one has far better damage output than the OG version.

The thing is, some of our OG versions haven't been updated and we're already getting better variations of the same champ (although with the new revamp initiative, it seems like this is changing). It wouldn't be a bad idea if we instead focused on bringing more diverse champs with new mechanics.

But of course, this is my humble opinion.

Honestly, i'm really tired when ppl complain new champs that is "look like" the OG version when some clearly are totally different character but with same name

One of the "sub-class" I was thinking about was underwater/water related champs. It would be cool to see more hydrokenetic champs with great synergies with Namor

That's fair but that's why we're having a conversation. I think different variations of the character isn't a bad thing, it just might limit diversity if we continue working in the same types of champs.

Well, making a game based on characters already exist is hard bc ppl want this, want that and then get disappointed and complain
