Is Sentinel worth r5 for variant content

I'm debating whether to r5 sentinel
for polar opposite variant the team below is probably my best team that I could use so I reckon I could use him but is he worth the r5, I have a r5 tech gem that I've been saving for the ghost I've never pulled..

    He’s the Swiss Army knife of the tech class. He’s not as flashy as Warlock but he does have an entire variant designed for him where he effectively has double damage.

    I didn't need and/or use a sentinel for my variant 3 exploration. My g99 was enough at rank 4, alongside my rank 5 ghost. I used Guilly for about 90%, then ghost for a few problematic paths.

    I did my V3 run with a 4* Ghost and Hulkbuster. Couldn’t pull sentinel, so just went with them

    Actually have r5 and r3. And yeah he clears content like a boss.

    Sure, I rank 2 my 6* for it when it came out. Why not? That's what champs are for, to clear content. Why struggle at lower ranks, just make it easier to clear. People might say... It's possible at 4, etc. But why?:) No sense in hoarding a gem for a champ you don't have imo. If in fact you ever pull that champ, if they are that good, you'll be happy to use cats on them. Use class 4-5 gems while they still have value.

    I’ve done some of that content with a 4* sentinel. He’s awesome at so much tho. I plan to bring my 5* up eventually (just not duped like the 4 of course)
