Stop penalties for game crashing

I don't understand why as a company your still punishing players by taking away half of a character's energy in aw and aq because there's a issue with the game crashing constantly. How is that fair? Take away the penalties til you can fix the issues.

It's virtually impossible for someone with connection issues to grind for units in arena, so they'd be more apt to buy them instead...
Which leads to the conclusion that the penalties work in Kabam's favor, so they'll most likely remain...
The reason behind the half life penalty is because it used to not take half your HP away so people exploited this in AQ and AW (to see the hidden nodes before attack bonuses were a thing). When you were losing in AQ or about to die, people would force quit the game and come back with full health. THIS is the reason why they made the penalty half life. Force closing because you messed up on a combo and saving yourself was not a intention of the game mode.
AQ and AW would be way too easy. Then, if you are loosing a fight, you can just exit the game and restart and you'll be all the way back to full health.
@Kabam Miike ... Would definitely be nice if game could add a “ping” between device and servers at least when the 2 champs are rushing into each other at beginning of fight (or even within second of actual fighting), to ensure that the fight has actually started on the player's device.
Too many of these situations (connection issue) results in disconnect (and 1/2 Health) even before the device has begun to show the champs rushing into each other at start.
And if no such “ping” (or whatever the developers call it there) occurs, then it wouldn’t count as a fight at all (and no 50% penalty)
(Honestly not knowing... are there any AW Tier levels where champs are still hidden, if so then that could be a reason why to not implement this for those Tiers. They could “force exit” after seeing the opponent. Thus why the 50% was implemented.)
But for any Tiers below that with VISIBLE MAP opponents, there is no unethical benefit for doing a “forced exit” before the actual fight has really begun. So add a “ping” so the servers could see whether the device really had begun the fight, or if it NEVER even got that far, before determining if 50% case should be penalized, would be a big help to players encountering connection issues.
The game has crashed for me 60 times (so far) in 2 days. 3 times during a fight, 17 times after pressing fight but not even getting to start the fight, 5 times leveling up champs, 32 times randomly during character selection, after a fight is won, on a menu. it takes 5 minutes everytime to restart & play the game again. that's 5 hours of gameplay gone. you could clear a lot of gameplay in 5 hours in quests or arena which this bug also effects making getting streaks impossible but you wouldn't understand that seeing how you aren't trying to get to uncollected or cavalier. you try to play but whenever prof. x, thing does a sp.1 , doom, sunspot, ebony, warlock, mole man, nova does a sp.2, guardian, namor, aegon, dragon man does a sp. 3, start a fight against an awakened terrax, cosmic ghost rider the game crashes. you would want that bugged fixed.
anyone who says that maybe it's your phone & you should get a new one, guess what we're in the middle of a pandemic which has cost a lot of people their jobs so they can't go out & just buy a new one. they have other things more important then a new phone like rent, mortgage, food, utilities to take care of. this game could've helped so many people deal with the stress from the pandemic but instead it adds to it. games are suppose to be fun. games that constantly crash AREN'T FUN.
instead of defending kabam try & look at it from the others players point of view. when you don't fixes bugs that have been reported in this forum & through forms for months those players will leave & find something else to play.
you don't have to do all of them but here are easy solutions for the problem
1. get rid of it until the bug is fixed.
2. take away any health that was taken off you & the AI before the crash.
3. take no health away & just count it as a loss for AW.
4. bring the fight recovery system into AW & AQ. ( unlimited fight recovery system as well. does no good if it crashes multiple time in the 1 hour)
seeing how the people who don't agree probably have never had it happen to them how would you feel if you just clicked fight & it crashed causing you to lose half your health & a loss? it's happened 10 so far in 24 hrs to me.
easy solutions for now until the bugs are fixed.
get rid of it for now until the bugs are fixed.
you could make it that whatever health that was taken off before it crashed for both the player & AI is what would be restored.
you could not take any health away from the player but count it as a lose in AW.
you could bring the fight recovery system into the AW & AQ ( fight recovery has to be updated as well. does no good if the game crashes multiply times in the 1 hr).
Instead of compensation I would gladly take a long overdue update to the Alliance potion system. The most recent update (bump to lvl 3/4 potions + addition of unit only Alliance potions) did not really address the problem and was merely a band-aid that didn't do much for the average player
Games are supposed to be fun, yes, but games like MCOC continue to develop in terms of gameplay, design, and artwork. As these factors get more intricate, the power required for a device to support these factors has to increase.
That is the same case with older computers and newer games. You might've been able to play the original Tomb Raider on an old Microsoft computer, but that old computer probably won't be able to handle the new Tomb Raider.
Either that or put in a Live Health Updating System into the Game so the Servers Register and Save Every Hit meaning if the game does Crash or someone tries to Cheat you'll end back up in the exact situation you left off, though I could see this one causing Lag from then constant Checking and Updating.
When kabam doesn't fix something right away it more than likely because it indirectly benefits them. If this was pro player we have a slew of evidence to suggest that it wouldn't have gone this long.
Them not compensating you has nothing to do with what I said as they have never compensated for disconnects even before the last few updates on a individual basis.
The only comp we get for that is when it's effecting everyone the same like it was months ago.
I don't know how you can prove a disconnect isn't your fault or prove that it's Kabams. The only thing I can see you prove is that you didn't force close.
