Stop penalties for game crashing

I don't understand why as a company your still punishing players by taking away half of a character's energy in aw and aq because there's a issue with the game crashing constantly. How is that fair? Take away the penalties til you can fix the issues.

Sadly the penalties force players to utilize potions, potions cost units, units cost money...

It's virtually impossible for someone with connection issues to grind for units in arena, so they'd be more apt to buy them instead...

Which leads to the conclusion that the penalties work in Kabam's favor, so they'll most likely remain...

Stop. Really just stop with this reasoning. This is not why the penalty exists. You are blatantly spreading false information.

The reason behind the half life penalty is because it used to not take half your HP away so people exploited this in AQ and AW (to see the hidden nodes before attack bonuses were a thing). When you were losing in AQ or about to die, people would force quit the game and come back with full health. THIS is the reason why they made the penalty half life. Force closing because you messed up on a combo and saving yourself was not a intention of the game mode.

Yeah I assure every one does it (except like bg who is too innocent). But when it does crash it’s kinda annoying.

And you are 100% wrong on why they won't be removed. It has ZERO to do with buying pots. Everything you said was wrong. Everything.

I don't like the penalty either, but it's necessary.

AQ and AW would be way too easy. Then, if you are loosing a fight, you can just exit the game and restart and you'll be all the way back to full health.

SO why it count as a kill in AW, isn't this punishing the whole ally for the same?

I'm not saying get rid of it forever just take it away till they fix it. My game has crashed 6 more times since I posted this. It's almost unplayable since the update.

Because it's not effecting the entire player-base. If it was game wide, they'd probably make adjustments but since it's not, if they shut it off there will be widespread exploiting of it happening.

(moving my **SUGGESTION** into this more replied to thread ...)

@Kabam Miike ... Would definitely be nice if game could add a “ping” between device and servers at least when the 2 champs are rushing into each other at beginning of fight (or even within second of actual fighting), to ensure that the fight has actually started on the player's device.

Too many of these situations (connection issue) results in disconnect (and 1/2 Health) even before the device has begun to show the champs rushing into each other at start.

And if no such “ping” (or whatever the developers call it there) occurs, then it wouldn’t count as a fight at all (and no 50% penalty)

(Honestly not knowing... are there any AW Tier levels where champs are still hidden, if so then that could be a reason why to not implement this for those Tiers. They could “force exit” after seeing the opponent. Thus why the 50% was implemented.)

But for any Tiers below that with VISIBLE MAP opponents, there is no unethical benefit for doing a “forced exit” before the actual fight has really begun. So add a “ping” so the servers could see whether the device really had begun the fight, or if it NEVER even got that far, before determining if 50% case should be penalized, would be a big help to players encountering connection issues.

They do unfortunately need to exist to prevent people from exploiting the feature. However, the crashing is so frequent now that there does need to be some remedy for all the items/hassle this is costing people.

Instead of compensation I would gladly take a long overdue update to the Alliance potion system. The most recent update (bump to lvl 3/4 potions + addition of unit only Alliance potions) did not really address the problem and was merely a band-aid that didn't do much for the average player

anyone who says that maybe it's your phone & you should get a new one, guess what we're in the middle of a pandemic which has cost a lot of people their jobs so they can't go out & just buy a new one. they have other things more important then a new phone like rent, mortgage, food, utilities to take care of. this game could've helped so many people deal with the stress from the pandemic but instead it adds to it. games are suppose to be fun. games that constantly crash AREN'T FUN.
So what I'm hearing is that you do acknowledge that an older phone will result in sub-par gameplay, especially if the graphics require a better device. So why are you trying to use the pandemic as an excuse to pin the crashes on Kabam and not take responsibility for an older device?

Games are supposed to be fun, yes, but games like MCOC continue to develop in terms of gameplay, design, and artwork. As these factors get more intricate, the power required for a device to support these factors has to increase.

That is the same case with older computers and newer games. You might've been able to play the original Tomb Raider on an old Microsoft computer, but that old computer probably won't be able to handle the new Tomb Raider.

It'd be nice if they tweaked their System to register when the Abrupt Exit is due to the Game Stalling and not someone closing the app or cutting off the internet, it should be quite easy to detect since most of the Crashes seem to occur with about 1 and a Half Seconds of Studdering followed by a Half a Second Freeze then leading to the Crash.
Either that or put in a Live Health Updating System into the Game so the Servers Register and Save Every Hit meaning if the game does Crash or someone tries to Cheat you'll end back up in the exact situation you left off, though I could see this one causing Lag from then constant Checking and Updating.

No idea what you mean. Each devices different from each other. A friend of mine play the game with iPhone 11 and it crashing all the damn time. Think about it... Iphone 11!... Iphone11, good to go for another 5-6 years with that specs in the phone and the game crash... that’s shows bad in-game code design. The game have way too much bugs going on that it’s not about the graphic anymore.

I'm going through horrible connection issues now. I sent Kabam a video and they told me they won't compensate me for the revives I lost so @Demonzfyre when you say the only reason is because of cheating and people doing it on purpose is false. Otherwise they would compensate people when given evidence. So you're spreading misinformation as well.

When kabam doesn't fix something right away it more than likely because it indirectly benefits them. If this was pro player we have a slew of evidence to suggest that it wouldn't have gone this long.

I said the reason why it even exists is because of exploiting. It only came about because people were force closing in AQ and AW in the early days.

Them not compensating you has nothing to do with what I said as they have never compensated for disconnects even before the last few updates on a individual basis.

The only comp we get for that is when it's effecting everyone the same like it was months ago.

I don't know how you can prove a disconnect isn't your fault or prove that it's Kabams. The only thing I can see you prove is that you didn't force close.

Let me guess, you saw that on a seatin video ? Let’s face the facts, YouTubers have ruined this game. They’ve provided a platform to share and take advantage of exploits all while encouraging Kabam to become more and more greedy. Call it what it really is, a scam
Jesus what an ignorant comment. I didn't see it in a Seatin video. I was playing the game when they implemented it. Anyone that's been playing since launch knows this.

While you are accurate in describing why this was implemented years ago. It doesn't adequately address the issues plaguing the game currently. Kabam has taken the hidden nodes out of war (so the peek doesn't apply), aq hidden nodes can be found with a simple web search, so not the reason NOW. Im glad if you haven't experienced issues with the game in aw/aq/arena/quest content, congrats. Count yourself lucky, please don't dismiss the fact that a whole slew of players have experienced those issues. While it might not be ios/android specific, about half of my alliance has experienced these issues intermittently or more often, myself included. Would you feel better if there was a number to put to it? What threshold of users experiencing difficulties would meet your expectation of a fix from kabam? 10% 20%, 49%. Or as you stated must it be the majority (51%)?

I haven't dismissed the fact that others are experiencing it and you won't find me saying otherwise. I'm saying there's little chance of them changing the disconnect rules in AQ and aw. This isn't the first time that disconnects have happened like this and they haven't changed it in the past. That's all I'm saying. This isn't a money making scheme by them either. That's other point I'm making.

Fair enough, I doubt there is any chance there will be compensation either. However, some acknowledgment by the company would go a long way imo.

That being said, the best way to resolve this is for the company to fix their unstable product, it has gotten worse with every iteration. How many times over the last, let's say 3 years has a monthly update not had serious flaws? I have a new phone as of the beginning of the year, it was already having issues from the jump. I dont apple, im an android person, my choice, however, this product is in the Google play store, therefore the company is responsible for having a stable product. That is the end line as far as I am concerned. If it's too much effort to keep up with multiple Android platforms, then pull it. Otherwise, take care of your ****.
