Hello. As the title says, just curious if anyone has tried taking guardian into the Abyss for the Havoks. Did some searching on YouTube and Reddit and can’t find too much. Seems building up Guardian would be pretty easy with the Abyss health pools.

Just do your normal rotation of 2 SP 1 to heavy attack then 1 SP 2 and repeat.

Would Havok’s innate energy resistance present a problem in this matchup?

    Use aegon
He will solo him or max 1 revive
I did path 3 just few days back

Bad Idea. He will just take additional damage for purifying the debuffs.

The the OP, I'm currently doing path 3. I was thinking of bringing up Guardian as well, but then decided to switch for Hulkbuster, and he works fine there. Will cost you a revive only

I did path 3 two weeks back and used Aegon for Havok, you don't take purify/detonation damage. Did it with 3 revives

Yes. Plus after using his sp2 you'll consume your armor and basically detonate immediately since you won't kill him

@Worknprogress you could just throw a heavy attack for a temporary armor before the SP 2. It will consume that one, while the permanent one will remain.

I use this for matchups such as AQ apocalypse. Counter his heavy with mine, then cancel the first hit into an SP 2 so as to keep the resistances. It's alarming how many people don't know about this strategy; I think I should make a breakdown on Guardian's abilities soon.

True. Still gonna do basically half the damage to Havok with his energy resistance. Certainly wouldn't want to take Abyss level heal pools with that kind of damage reduction

Aegon works fine, I’ve gone through all my 240 hits or whatever it is each time

Pretty much everybody has half damage against havok, bro.

I'd use Warlock over both of them for that fight personally. You do you though.

Just finished my second path. Going to take path 3 this weekend and just bring my trusty Warlock. Just seemed Guardian was built as a Havok counter so curious if anyone brought him to test at that high level. Warlock still the man.

Aegon is the best option for havok if he has 500+ hits in his combo meter... He can do that fight in 1-3 revives......
