Night Thrasher has been silently nerfed

Hi everybody! so I'm one of the 9 avid night thrasher players currently on the battlerealm, and have noticed that now you actually need an active taunt debuff on the opponent to build up your furies, whereas before if the opponent had been taunted at least once in the fight you were good to go to build your furies, i think this is HUGE for the character since it is a lot more punishing if you slip up and let the debuffs expire and makes you rely so much more on dropping heavies (night thrasher has depressingly low reach with his heavies) to reach decent damage, i honestly think this makes him so much worse (not that he was great to begin with) anyway, thanks for reading if you have gotten this far.

By the way: this change was not included in patch notes

Striking a Taunted opponent with Skateboard Attacks....
Taunted in this phrase could also refer to an opponent that was under the effect of "taunt" in the past, making that an opponent who had been taunted. Better wording would have been better for the sig ability

it seems like I’m the only other person in this thread who’s ever gained a fury buff while the taunt wasn’t on the opponent. Was it a bug? Yes. Has it been like this since he was launched? Also yes.

    Just tell us Kabam

Agreed the taunt debuff used too not be needed after it was procked atleast 1 time and then you could stack up your 10 furies. I haven't used him in a while but when he first came out I used him alot. If this is a change or if it was a bug all along is something worth knowing because many people probably wouldn't mess with him giving how long it would take too ramp him up.

I've been testing him recently with an eye to ranking him up. I've always read it as meaning that the opponent has to have an active Taunt on them to gain furies. Frankly it doesn't matter one bit: he's still really easy to ramp up and keep ramped up.

I haven't played him recently so I can't verify what OP is saying, but I can definitely 100% attest to him getting furies on opponents that were at one point taunted but are no longer under the effect of the debuff. I can remember the first time I noticed it happen, the taunt had expired but I was still getting more furies, and I remember thinking it was a bug or something.

My experience has always been you only needed the taunt on once per fight to activate the furies.

I just tried him against the legendary Nightcrawler in the side quest and I can confirm that he was only gaining furies while the taunt was active. It used to be that he would gain furies if the opponent had ever been taunted at all. Can @Kabam Miike or someone comment on this?

I remember that he used to need the taunt active to actually get furies. I dupped him last month and it was weird to me how he gets furies without taunt.

    Seems like a silent buxfix.
