Rank 4 Juggernaut Support Group

How many of y'all out there spent 4 of the rarest items in the game on this dude and now he literally does nothing but ride the bench day in and day out? It's to the point where I hate even viewing my in-game profile or opening my champ roster because the pain of seeing him sitting there doing nothing and hogging 4 of the 12-14 possible T2A in the game for those of us who haven't 100% LoL yet.

Kabam - we understand what you're saying about how defensive champs like Juggernaut, Nightcrawler, Mordo etc have not had their abilities altered in anyway. That's perfectly clear and I understand how that argument makes sense from your perspective.

But can you please take a moment and look at it from our point of view? If we are in an alliance with more than 3 R4 Juggernaut (one per battlegroup), then any extraneous Juggernauts are effectively worthless. Actually, they are less than worthless as they can actively LOSE a war for you due to diversity. We worked hard for these T2A and we work hard for the superior 5-star champions that we are dying to use them on instead of a champion that has no purpose anymore.

Please at least acknowledge that this is a real problem... if you don't want to issue even 1 5-star rank down, then please acknowledge that something else needs to be done to make these investments worthwhile again.

God I hate that they ever introduced rdts. Every other post is someone trying to justify the need for more rdts when in reality they are only looking for a shortcut to increase their prestige.

Fact is you should have done a better job of planning for the future and prioritizing your own progression. I for instance chose to prioritize attack power, utility and synergy bonuses over defense. Quite frankly I never could get on board with ranking defensive champs over offensive champs frankly because of the limited use of defensive champs I.e. AWD only where as offensive champs can be used in every single game mode

@Wakandas_Finest but what if a game mode was altered in a way that made your offensive champions useless? I prioritized defense because I decided to be a team player in my alliance and make a rank-up that would help win us wars. I have prioritized lesser rank ups like 4* R5s for offensive champions, but made one investment in a defender. It was the right decision for me with the information I had at the time. The problem is that that information is no longer relevant.

And I'm not looking for any shortcut in terms of prestige. My prestige is plenty high and I have T4C overflowing. I just want my R4 champions to have a USE IN THIS GAME. For the third time in this thread, I'm not even asking for RDTs specifically. There are other solutions that make my investment worthwhile again (such as adding defender kills back in).

The way the new AW was originally set up would have allowed multiple 5* R4 to be used within the same BG. Having diversity across all three BGs meant there would be 44 champions that could be duplicated however the alliance thought served them the best. I am not sure why they went away from that model. Suspect it had something to do with breaking out the scoring per BG after the war was over.

I agree with Hort.

The initial plan of having diversity across the entire alliance was a better one given that there aren’t 150 unique champs in the game... yet..

So there was bound to be quite a few duplicates here and there.

Having certain champs dominate certain areas of the game is not a sustainable model it's why they nerfed the previous "God" tier champs it's why they introduce champs now with the ability to counter other dominant champs I.e Mephisto is immune to cold snap, Mephisto's soul imprisonment prevents Juggs from gaining unstoppable buff, Blade's synergy with Dorm/Mephisto stops magik's limbo etc. Even if they brought defender kills back I'm sure they won't do away with diversity and a well skilled alliance would still render your Juggs useless.

The real way to fix AW is to give players more control of the map. Make it a game of chess instead of checkers. Let players decide what buffs go on which nodes on the map which nodes link up. Add some real strategy and skill cuz let's face it it doesn't take players long to figure out standardized maps or where to place champs and how to beat them.

I also agree with @Hort4 , making it alliance-wide allowed for some duplication and strategy. It would have given advantage to alliances with Kang/OGDP/Thanos/etc which sucks. But at least there would be some strategy involved.

Bring back defender kills. One can then decide to go with a more punishing defense as opposed to 100% each alliance and skill playing no role . It's horrible, no more chess match, no more skill required. Havent seen 1 mention of defender kills being useless now for the sole purpose of bringing in possible cash. Higher pi alliance that has low skill can simply keep reviving and loading up until the 5 minis and boss are dead. Tier 2 tiny alliance with 11 members, were winning 7 of 10 in old system, out matched every aw, now its 3 of 10 wins. The 3 wins are Only due to stupid moves by the opponents, not diverse enough etc. Aw sucks now. Skill, chess match, etc all gone. Someone already mentioned above, 99% of them are over as soon as attack phase starts. 23 hrs 59 mins left and its over. Excellent. No thanks kabam.

Doesent have to be huge amount pts per kill, idk 20 or 25 like a few mentioned, let d kills play some roll. Keep it interesting. Extra R4 juggs worth the gamble of placing. Etc. Personally aw is ruined. No longer fun. Idk if rdts is the answer, but sonething needs change. How much fun is it beating up on ww2, sg, storm, etc on way to boss. Boring as hell, see sime opponents getting beat up by ww2, sg, storm and still winning is even more fun. 20 more d kills and still lose is OBSCENE. Money grab. Lower items to 5 instead of 15 maybe. Idk. But lost all interest. Wstching guys get whole team wiped out by 3 or 4 cheezy diverse nodes. Revive, use 2 7900 team heals and continue on, with 12 more items left to use. Awful.
