6*r3 lvl1(to13) weaker than 6*r2 lvl35?

How could this be?
After the levelup of a 6* Warlock from r2 to r3 his stats are lower than before. Prestige, attack and health.
12 levels for nothing? Does this work as intended?
... and yes, its the same Warlock from the same account, there are no boosters used and not a single point changed in the masteries.

Level him up bro. You’ll be fine. Warlock is a great champ - you won’t regret it!

I'd like an explanation on this. For a test, I just did the same thing with a 3* and there was no drop in PI, health, or attack.

It’s working as intended. People who rank up a champion tend to level them up at the same time.

I'm not 100% sure how it works but basically masteries are more potent depending on a champ's challenge rating. Your challenge rating at 3/1 is lower that 2/35, so they do not give as much of a boost until 3/45 (max level)

I'm still wondering @Crcrcrc . The challenge ratings change even for my 3* example CGR went from 40 to 50. Which masteries are you thinking of that would impact the values?

I believe it was a @DNA3000 post that talked about how challenge rating is more substantial on masteries like precision and cruelty for high star champs, or something like that

Once you level him up his pi will become significantly higher. This is just how rank 3 leveling up works.

It’s just because of incursion bug. It’s affecting the masteries.

Challenge rating is determined by rarity (stars) and rank, but not level. In other words, a rank 2/1 has the same challenge rating as a rank 2/35.

Level does affect stats like attack and health, and thus prestige. Prestige is a bit wonky in MCOC, it is for lack of a better way of describing it "hand tweaked" to generate the results intended by the developers. It isn't completely random, but it doesn't follow a single general "formula" that would hold true for every single champ at all rarities. The issue with prestige wobbling a bit as you rank up a champion has been noticed before, specifically at higher rarities. It is due to the fact that the starting prestige at each rank is baked into the champion, and leveling it up increases that prestige by a certain amount. For some champions, the starting prestige at rank 3 is lower than the maximum prestige achievable at rank 2 from leveling, so you end up with a "sawtooth" prestige curve.

This falls into the category of not exactly intended behavior, but also not bugged. It is due to the fact that the "rules" that the game mechanics use to calculate prestige were created when 4* champs were the highest rarity, and those rules do not generate the same smooth results at higher rarities.
