The only way for the new milestones to fail, is if this change fails. Meaning, if enough people quit playing arena, they will change.
Many of you have clearly stated what is going on with this change! This is an attempt to push the end gamers and whales futher out in front of everybody else. It is intended to do exactly what many of you described in your posts! This change is to reduce and slow our growth by cutting the number of champs we can collect, reduce the units we collect and the number of crystals be build to open. It is not intended to be an improvement for anyone but kabam and the end gamers.
So after running arena here are my score 16.5mil in new featured arena 3mil in new basic arena and 600k in 4* arena (200+45+63=300units) Usually with these much effort I should be able to complete all milestones of 3*4*5* featured + 4* basic arena + first 2 milestone of 2* arena (65or70+135+135+135+10) 480units atleast try to fix arena asap best you could do is reduce milestones for 6* both featured and basic arena ( if these issue won't be resolved many player who rely on arena will quit including me ) I will be leaving this game within 2 week if these issue won't be resolved thx
I’ve posted my opinion on here twice so I won’t go into all that BUT I will ask this. If the arena stay like this, what good are the 2*’s and 3*’s ? The old way was so much better unless you are a whale. PHC shards helped with ISO, and the milestones to get units and battle chips helped with the game as a whole but you actually had to work hard to get them. Also, someone mentioned the people in the game that are NOT whales but are also NOT ftp…. That would be me….as a moderate spender, I would think that Kabam would realize that those people are 80-90 percent of their base. I’ve talked to so many people that think this is a bad idea and are probably gonna quit the game. I understand that people with a huge 6* and 5* maxed roster wouldn’t mind this change at all but what about the rest of us ? And I still have to wonder, what good the 2 and 3 star champs now? Can anyone answer that ? And what good are the arena boosts for 3*’s ? Because most mid level players / moderate spenders are going to have a pretty deep maxed out 4* roster and will be to the final milestone in the easier arena pretty quick with not a lot of rewards and the harder arena would now take that same player forever to get to 16 million. I would strongly suggest putting it back just the way it was to keep the base of your business and maybe put in an extra one ( in addition to the old ones ) that has better prizes and that the very advanced players with 30-100 6*’s and tons of maxed out 5*’s can participate in. But I would probably do this quickly because I see and talk to a lot of people who are quitting. I for one LOVE this game and I do NOT want to quit, but this new change really REALLY takes away from the enjoyment of the game. I know each time I’ve had a problem with the game, customer service has been GREAT at timely responses and did everything they could to help me. I hope Kabam stays in line with that and understand what the base customers want. I know it’s a business and they aren’t in it just to make people happy, but there is something to be said for a company who keeps their customers happy. I truly believe it will pay off to Kabam much more in the long term than just catering to the whales and loaded players. Thank you for taking all of this into consideration.
The Premium Hero Crystals are significantly harder to acquire as you don’t reach 1000 until you achieve level 15 milestone in arenas. How do you expect new players to build their roster?
I am totally disappointed in this new milestones, 33 millions???? Seriously??? I mean it's nice to have 6* arena, but its for those only 500 players who probably are end game players have big roster, but what about us who just want to ger the milestones and shards?? Everything is nice expect the long milestones, hope these milestones are short from next week
I welcome the fact that the stadiums are revised but they should primarily serve to collect units relatively easily. Before you got 270 units from two stadiums (5* Basic+5* Featured) and now you get only 200 units from one stadium for 16 million. So you have more effort for less units and less crystal fragments/ battle chips. The stadium boosters contain mainly components for 3*/4* champs. These should rather be converted for 5*/6* champs.
Many people don't play stadiums because it is very time consuming and monotonous. Maybe there are possibilities to make everything a bit more attractive? revitalizers/healers within the milestones or developer fragments etc. There should still be an extra stadium like the 4* Basic, where you can quickly collect a few units with very little time without having to grind for 2 hours at a time.
I would also welcome it if there would be an Alpha 2 stadium. This could be limited to cavaliers / thronebreakers.
I was really looking forward to the update, but I don't think the time spent on fewer units is justified anymore.
New arena are for huge roster players not for everyone, had to grind alot of arena just to complete 1 6star basic arena and now i am losing more then 200units just because I don't have a huge roster. Please humble request either decrease the milestone or increase multiplier so at least who have a decent roster can achieve them. Thanks

I bet it was very easy, I mean you have a 2.6 million account rating with a profile full of R3 six stars. Of course it didn’t take you that long. Average players can’t do that.
Guessing you looked, so you will also see how much arena I do.. far more than most who are moaning on here.
Which is why I have big roster as I’ve always pushed arena for shards/not just units. More champs, less rounds, faster grind.. very simple logic
2: we asked for 6* arena to be added for those that have lots of 6* and want to continue growing their 6* collection. The only difference i would come up with is the units stretch in this 6* arena milestones will have a large gap to prevent another source of easy units income for a less effort when the core idea of introducing 6* arena is to compete for the rank reward otherwise no milestones in it to give us the player a choice and a reflection if the player want to compete for the rank reward with no milestones reward or avoid the competition.
2: we asked for more added touch spark like extra spice for example when the opponent or you lost a battle then it's thanos snapped into nothing just to add more wow factor.
3: remove deathmatches, but that means squashing the streak formula bug as it was never intended to be part of the game, but it was left for too long that we now need it to compete. Other option is to ban 5* collection in 4* featured arena while those 5* and 6* collection could be effectively used more in 5* featured arena to compete with others for the desired rank reward.
4: we asked for increased arena win points. If not an option then another option would be to increase the streak multiplier to x4 or x5. otherwise none of it if KABAM think it would be too much or something along the line.
5: a new arena boost crystal that is focused on each rarity instead of mixed RNG. Why would a end game player want to hoard a 3* arena booster when it's not serving a purpose in their account to compete with the bigger ones? would be a smart move to introduce each crystal rarity for each own containing 2* booster crystal, 3* booster crystal. 4* booster crystal and maybe 5* booster crystal. That way everyone is handing a equal progression chance to compete in their arena rarity from newcomer to end-game player. To further explain an example then I meant more that if a player that just started to play the game and only has 2* and 3* collection to rely on completing the lower-tier content then they will be having a chance to acquire either 2* or 3* boost crystal and use it to compete in either 2* or 3* arena to continue their account progress. Same thing for the end-game player but in higher tier arena rarity.
6: i'm sure there is a alot of good ideas that could improve the arena section to a whole another level in the suggestion and requested thread page, but it's pretty evident now that this arena structure is kabam's own idea for relying on data and think it's a smart move when the right move is to listen the community first and see their suggestion and request for how to further improve the game. Sure not everything will be grand ideas, but there are at least a few ideas on thousands of pages that can actually improve the game.
my suggestion: Revert back to old arena structure and add #2, 3 and 4 and listen to #6 then maybe things will actually be on the right road.
Turns out I love the new arenas!!! Because of the effort required and the lack of rewards I didn’t do them yesterday and today and I realized how much of my weekend I was missing out on. If the old ones aren’t back tomorrow I’ll just hang up the game. But really, my wife is soooo happy with me.
I couldn't agree more. I use to look forward to playing them for an hour on Sundays and I am going to skip it today as well. I haven't quested. I sign in collect my monthly rewards and then leave and that's it. I am very surprised I am not missing playing. So the new arenas did improve my QOL by not playing the game. Well done Kabam.
i'm not really following how it is an QuL if you only play an hour in arena in every sundays...
This new setup discourages a good portion of the community in my opinion. I ran it for the past three days and got a little less units than I normally do, however for the lower level players, it sets them up for failure. PS I am cavalier with about 27 6* and 125 5*. If this is how it's going to be with new arenas. My though process is a couple of different things 1.lower the milestones or put all units in lower milestones to make them more achievable 2.increase the amount of points earned by 5* and 4* in the 6* arenas 3. Add cavalier shards to 6* featured, not a must but would like to see it 4. Increase the battlechips earned or increase the drop rates of units in arena crystals. This would ensure people get the units back lost.
Overall, I don't mind the new arenas for myself due to me not being a heavy grinder, but the time taken to grind, has been doubled. So just adding those items above would make it worth while.
I just completed all the milestones for the Falcon arena so i'm finally ready to give my feedback too.
Before the change, for period of time I grinded two arenas, the 3-4* and the 4-5*, only for milesstones, to earn units, battlechips and gold. I recently switched to do only 4-5*, milestones only, due to lack of time and it was more than enough for me, but comparing the new system to the twoarena runs is more fair i believe. Completing previous arenas took me 44 rounds each, 88 total, running 10-10 rounds in the morning and in the late afternoon. With this schedule I was able to sit back and relax for the last day of Arena, and it got me total of 270 units if i remember correctly (never kept track properly)
With this new arena, I followed somewhat the same format, doing 10-10 rounds of 5* and 6* heroes. With the latter I wouldn't even be able to do more, as i only have 31 characters at the moment, 90% of them sitting at rank 1, some of them on level 1 as well. It took me total of 109 fight, 20 more than in the previous system, with having to use arena boost on todays last run (nearly used all of them), as I either wouldnt have been able to complete the milestones, or I'd have to grind even more with midway ranked 5* champs. However I put a lot more fights in this arena it still only gave me 180 units.
I never intend to grind hours to have a 5* champ, not to mention a 6* so having a 6* arena has no use for me. I'm only here for the milestones. With this said i found it highly irritating and tiring to puting more and more time in the arena, with having less resources at the end of the cycle. I also found it troublesome, that I couldn't do these runs in one sitting, as 6* champs took more time to refresh. I could only get around this if I even wake up earlier, or finish the last bits at late night.
In my early runs, I also met some 6R5 champs which was really weird and annoying for me, as they took even more time, more baiting specials to get around, since they have bigger healthpools. Arena should be fast fights, and these roughly 5 runs were anything but fast. Wouldn't consider them a deatchmatches, cause i could use 5R5 champs, but really questionable for me, why do i have to fight champs on a high rank that cannot be found anywhere else in the game (in cave eq, i only saw 6r2's so far), but this is the least of the problems for me. For smaller rosters could be a bigger issue.
Probably the biggest upside of the new setup is the grandmaster crystal shards instead of the PHC's, but i can't mention much more.
I didn't try the lesser arena's, as completing this was more than enough effort put in and i'm not intend to in the future either if it stays. The reason i stopped doing them in the previous system as well, is that they don't give any 5* shards, also i was more than bored using my 4* champs at this point. Worth to mention, that i can see that they would give me slighty more units than the pervious version, which is welcomed, but not enough, looking at the big picture.
Overall, this is probably my least favourite change of the game ever, I found it needlessly grindy, that could only be worse when there's an other arena in the game (like now, or like the christmas one, for the 6* shards), and not worth my efforts for the milestone rewards. I can only hope that my ranked rewards will somewhat compensate for it. Even tho I'm TB, around 1m rating, I didnt feel like this format is for me and my roster, not to mention smaller accounts, those who also had no problems before, going through all the milestones, without ever touching 6* champs. Feels like these arena's were aimed, for ratings above 1.5 mill (6* arena), and belove 500k (4* arena), and me, and my preferences were lost somewhere in the middle.
All i need i having the old system back, or a similar one, where i can grind the same amount as before, for the same rewards. Or a somewhat similar one, where the time spent and the rewards earned scales properly.
never ever thought that i might actually say this to kabam that they made the arena a nightmare. i have 12/13 6*, 24/25 5*, and many 4*, what are the issue i am facing?
1/ the refresh time is awfully huge for 6*, since i have only few of them it is becoming impossible for me to complete the milestone,
2/ i have few 6* and few 5* but mostly 3* and 4*, sad part is i have to play a lot more that previous just to get milestone rewards.
3/ the major problem is the death matches, after 50-60 fights i got death matches ( 4* vs 6* r3) seriously? i mean seriously?
look i understand that you guys need money but can you please for once, focus on people who are new and growing?

previously i just played arena for milestone rewards, not it has become a nightmare for me.
Ok, so I said I would present my results at the end of the cycle, and here I am with those figures.
Let me begin with how the old arena system worked for me:
I was able to hit every milestone in every arena within 27 hours of the arena beginning. The last time I tracked the total amount of time this took (back in September), it took roughly 7 hours overall of grinding. That will have gotten faster over the intervening 8 months as my 6* roster, in particular, grew significantly in that time. I estimate around 6 1/2 hours overall to hit every milestone in every arena, as a player who has 100% everything in-game but doesn't really spend much at all.
This old system took me 217 rounds overall to hit the milestones. I am excluding the catalyst arenas in both of my analyses.
Now onto the new system:
In total, hitting every milestone took 8h 45mins. That is a 33% increase, roughly, in the amount of time it took to hit every milestone, and it also took a day and a half longer to complete every milestone, which is a factor that cannot be discounted, as it is likely that people are not consistently available for the more restrictive 5 and 6 star refresh times. I think most people who lead 'normal lives', as in they don't spend all day at home with nothing to do, would be unable to run their 6*s twice, which would make hitting all the milestones nigh impossible, where it very much might have been before
It's a similar story in terms of rounds, roughly a 36% increase.
As you can probably guess, the largest increase in both time and rounds was found in the 6* arenas, as the required number of points with the same rarities of champion and multiplier almost tripled, from 12 mil to 33 mil.
While it's somewhat positive that my preliminary figure of a 100% increase in time taken, as the initial stats suggested, did not come to fruition, the fact remains that the new arenas are overtuned by around 33%. Each.
Another thing that I didn't set out to test, but that I had heard about and encountered on my alt account, is the severe lack of units available at lower milestones. My alt's roster is very sparse, so I don't consider it very representative, but due to its very limited size, not being able to utilize my 2 and 3 star roster tuned to their points hurt significantly, resulting in a decent amount less units under the new system than in the old. I didn't collect data on this, so I can't provide numbers, just some intuition, and I know others have talked about it at length.
So, how would I fix the arena to make the effort roughly the same as it was previously, and try to even the spread more.
First of all, let's consider the previous featured 4* arena. Most people ran 5*s in this arena to achieve 4 million points. If we tune this to 6 stars, which give roughly double the points as 5*s, and adjust the milestones accordingly, the 4* featured was worth about 8 million points.
Therefore, let's combine this with the old featured 5* amount, and you would get 20 million points for roughly the equivalent grind with 6*s as you were previously. But we now have two 6* arenas that are equivalent to the featured 5*, so I propose that the top milestone for each is brought down to 10 million points. While this might seem low, remember, it's basically a top milestone of 20 million points, but spread out over two arenas. Not to mention that 5*s have had their value halved in what they contribute to the arenas, and 6*s are much rarer for the majority of the playerbase, so that 8 million that has been transferred from the previous 5* arena is realistically more difficult to hit for most players.
The summoner trials is a really simple fix. Just bring it back down to 1.5 mil. Currently, people are getting fewer units for putting up 1.5 mil in the new arena than they were in the old one, which seems ludicrous to me. This should have been the clearest indicator that the new arenas took more effort. It's there. Clear as day. Players are getting less units with the same champions, multiplier, everything, for the same amount of points.
My final suggestion is around scaling. There is a not-insignificant portion of players that are now getting less units because there are overall fewer 'low-hanging' milestones. Let's take 'collected' players. Where they might have been able to get 35 units from summoner trials, the 3* featured, and the 4* basic, they can now only get...14? That seems crazy.
Therefore I suggest a system more akin to the catalyst arenas, at least in the summoner trials arena, where the milestones are very much front-loaded. Doesn't have to be significantly, just enough to make up the deficit. I know it's not an easy fix, and in the 6* arenas some might argue front-loading gives too much of an advantage to those with large 6* rosters. But, to be honest, I'm not sure players are that bothered about that as long as their units are at least equalling out to what they were before.
But there is another benefit to front-loading, that I want to throw out there, but not necessarily endorse. Front-loading, I think, would motivate more players with limited time to play arena, which must be a net positive for the gamemode. But additionally, if a good chunk of the unit share is front-loaded, people might need to spend less time overall in arena. Sure they wouldn't get the max, and people could still play to get the max, but I think with all the additional content and gamemodes that now exist, reducing the time players spend in arena would be a good move to allow more overall interaction with the various gamemodes, especially with solo competitive coming.
And one more final thing, I know I'm sort of chancing it here, but if we have 540 units available in total, why not have an even distribution of 180 across all arenas? I know you're pushing people towards uncollected, but you could even put the extra 40 in summoner trials in milestones beyond 1.5 mil. It would maybe make reducing the milestones in the 6* arenas a bit lighter on your conscience, if you need that kind of thing.
Anyway, I've rattled on long enough. I'll leave with this. If the arenas aren't changed, and relatively soon, players, including myself, are either going to get burnt out or demotivated. If the arenas aren't improved I'll probably be calling it quits. It's the thing that allowed me to progress in this game, and adding more time requirements over a longer period just isn't feasible for me.
Kabam - don’t destroy this game. So many content creators have left. Many people flirt with the idea of leaving already (myself included). Making Arenas worse is just another step towards the end of this game. You had your lowest quarter of all time (even with the best Cyber Weekend)… if the game is to survive you need to really consider the player comments here.
All i can say is that this new arenas are good but not for the middle and lower tiers
End gamers can reach everything in those ones but me with 15 of 6* and 14 of 5*r5 is not possible.
You should create this arenas :
1 arena for those who are thronebreakers 1 arena for cavaliers 1 arena for uncolleters and so on.
If you are not a thronebreaker you will not be able to see the first arena and so on
You have created crystals and offers in glory tab for thronebreakers so i am sure you can do that also in arenas.
OR you can decrease dramaticly the cd of 5 and 6 *

1.i can`t earn that much units 2.my plan to complete act6 is now for 2023 not 2022 3.the amount of bc has decreased by 50% per month.
Hope that the staff will understand that in this game are not only the players who have money / time to play that much to achieve decent amounts of milestones. We are working , we have childrens , we have real life , we are still humans. These new arenas and milestones are for robots.
Did only 2.250.000 points because the next milestone is just not worth the effort for what it gives. 3 and 4 * in the milestones without iso ? just for 1 signature ? or for a 4* that will not help me nowhere? idk....for me it sounds like a marketing thing to get money...

I like this new Arena. Maybe the new structure would prevent BOTs get units easily. As for normal decent players, new arenas provides a good way to get champs and shards.
Do you really think people are playing arena for champs and shards damn I didn’t know people are so intelligent 90% of players are playing arena for damn units they didn’t need champs they can get champs by completing quest with the help of units or buying crystals by units here in this game we only need units to get through quest Kid. Also mcoc needs some mature players not kids
This is the problem your making an big assumption. I (and well over half my ally) play arena for shards, for more/new champs.
I accept some people just want units, but there is a real lack of acceptance that a lot of people want more 6* shards out of arena and we want to have something to do with all our champs.
Sir i am in pltnm4 alliance AQ 250 alliance 20 out of 30 players have prestige above 11K and there is no one who goes for champs or shards who needs shards these days when you get enough from quests They are going for units for sure I am arena grinder and I always comes in 1-10% I didn’t need those ranks but those units now that rank will be more harder as units
I am only telling you how I see it.. we just had at least 12 people put up 25m+ in arena. If they only wanted units then would stop at 16.5m.
They all want the 1-5% (a few trying for feature) for 1k 6* shards.. most in top ally’s want this as it gives chance for more champs.

I've seen people say that restoring the old arenas while keeping the new ones would throw the unit economy out of whack. I've also seen defenders of the new arenas say they need the new arenas because the old ones did not offer what they were looking for. And of course, there are all the people saying it is now impossible to get the things they used to get in the old arenas.
With all this in mind, I am not seeing how restoring the old arenas and keeping the new ones will unbalance anything.
Those of us who want the old arenas back are still not going to play the new ones. I know I wouldn't. And, unless they are lying about what they really want, it does not seem like the people who like the new arenas are going waste their time in the old arenas. Even if they wanted to, It does not seem like there is even enough time.
The only accounts that would probably benefit greatly from this are the bots, and those should be dealt with regardless of the arena structure so they are essentially irrelevant to the discussion.
Instead of limiting our choices with fewer arenas, give us more options, but make choosing each option only worthwhile if you commit to that option. Everyone gets what they want, and no one loses what they had.
Another alternative might be adding more lower level milestones in the 6* arenas, frontloading the unit awards to the lower milestones, so again, we unit grinders can get what we want, and the shard/champ grinders can get what they want.

but surely they would still have continued to grind if kabam changed the milestones gaps for those non-stacked collection account player(s)? i think it would have give the same result as you are explaining. it seems to me that most of those feedback is about milestones gap and the amount of hours put in the arena is now 100% more and if kabam do something about those milestones gap then your 12+ alliance friend would still regardless continued to grind for 1-5% rank reward. or i'm misunderstanding you?
I gave the arena a try and I must say, acquiring units became a lot harder. I am an F2P player and this hits hard for me. I suggest getting all the units in milestones and distributing them within the first 4M-6M points. I don't mind the featured champion being in 9M, but let that be the only reward after 4M. One more suggestion is to add an arena for 2 and 3 star champions. I used my 3 -3 star teams in the 4 star nexus arena, but 2 stars didn't even have a chance.

If the arena stay like this, what good are the 2*’s and 3*’s ? The old way was so much better unless you are a whale. PHC shards helped with ISO, and the milestones to get units and battle chips helped with the game as a whole but you actually had to work hard to get them. Also, someone mentioned the people in the game that are NOT whales but are also NOT ftp…. That would be me….as a moderate spender, I would think that Kabam would realize that those people are 80-90 percent of their base. I’ve talked to so many people that think this is a bad idea and are probably gonna quit the game. I understand that people with a huge 6* and 5* maxed roster wouldn’t mind this change at all but what about the rest of us ? And I still have to wonder, what good the 2 and 3 star champs now? Can anyone answer that ? And what good are the arena boosts for 3*’s ?
Because most mid level players / moderate spenders are going to have a pretty deep maxed out 4* roster and will be to the final milestone in the easier arena pretty quick with not a lot of rewards and the harder arena would now take that same player forever to get to 16 million. I would strongly suggest putting it back just the way it was to keep the base of your business and maybe put in an extra one ( in addition to the old ones ) that has better prizes and that the very advanced players with 30-100 6*’s and tons of maxed out 5*’s can participate in. But I would probably do this quickly because I see and talk to a lot of people who are quitting. I for one LOVE this game and I do NOT want to quit, but this new change really REALLY takes away from the enjoyment of the game.
I know each time I’ve had a problem with the game, customer service has been GREAT at timely responses and did everything they could to help me. I hope Kabam stays in line with that and understand what the base customers want. I know it’s a business and they aren’t in it just to make people happy, but there is something to be said for a company who keeps their customers happy. I truly believe it will pay off to Kabam much more in the long term than just catering to the whales and loaded players. Thank you for taking all of this into consideration.
The Premium Hero Crystals are significantly harder to acquire as you don’t reach 1000 until you achieve level 15 milestone in arenas. How do you expect new players to build their roster?

The stadium boosters contain mainly components for 3*/4* champs. These should rather be converted for 5*/6* champs.
Many people don't play stadiums because it is very time consuming and monotonous. Maybe there are possibilities to make everything a bit more attractive? revitalizers/healers within the milestones or developer fragments etc.
There should still be an extra stadium like the 4* Basic, where you can quickly collect a few units with very little time without having to grind for 2 hours at a time.
I would also welcome it if there would be an Alpha 2 stadium. This could be limited to cavaliers / thronebreakers.
I was really looking forward to the update, but I don't think the time spent on fewer units is justified anymore.
No one want to play these arena and no one is happy with the grind and efforts its taking.
For 16.5 and 2.1m literally took me 3day to grind and complete the milestones
Before generally i grind 1-2day and earn equal of amount of units i earned now in 3days

Which is why I have big roster as I’ve always pushed arena for shards/not just units. More champs, less rounds, faster grind.. very simple logic
1: we didn't ask for an total overhaul.
2: we asked for 6* arena to be added for those that have lots of 6* and want to continue growing their 6* collection. The only difference i would come up with is the units stretch in this 6* arena milestones will have a large gap to prevent another source of easy units income for a less effort when the core idea of introducing 6* arena is to compete for the rank reward otherwise no milestones in it to give us the player a choice and a reflection if the player want to compete for the rank reward with no milestones reward or avoid the competition.
2: we asked for more added touch spark like extra spice for example when the opponent or you lost a battle then it's thanos snapped into nothing just to add more wow factor.
3: remove deathmatches, but that means squashing the streak formula bug as it was never intended to be part of the game, but it was left for too long that we now need it to compete. Other option is to ban 5* collection in 4* featured arena while those 5* and 6* collection could be effectively used more in 5* featured arena to compete with others for the desired rank reward.
4: we asked for increased arena win points. If not an option then another option would be to increase the streak multiplier to x4 or x5. otherwise none of it if KABAM think it would be too much or something along the line.
5: a new arena boost crystal that is focused on each rarity instead of mixed RNG. Why would a end game player want to hoard a 3* arena booster when it's not serving a purpose in their account to compete with the bigger ones? would be a smart move to introduce each crystal rarity for each own containing 2* booster crystal, 3* booster crystal. 4* booster crystal and maybe 5* booster crystal. That way everyone is handing a equal progression chance to compete in their arena rarity from newcomer to end-game player. To further explain an example then I meant more that if a player that just started to play the game and only has 2* and 3* collection to rely on completing the lower-tier content then they will be having a chance to acquire either 2* or 3* boost crystal and use it to compete in either 2* or 3* arena to continue their account progress. Same thing for the end-game player but in higher tier arena rarity.
6: i'm sure there is a alot of good ideas that could improve the arena section to a whole another level in the suggestion and requested thread page, but it's pretty evident now that this arena structure is kabam's own idea for relying on data and think it's a smart move when the right move is to listen the community first and see their suggestion and request for how to further improve the game. Sure not everything will be grand ideas, but there are at least a few ideas on thousands of pages that can actually improve the game.
my suggestion: Revert back to old arena structure and add #2, 3 and 4 and listen to #6 then maybe things will actually be on the right road.
If this is how it's going to be with new arenas. My though process is a couple of different things
1.lower the milestones or put all units in lower milestones to make them more achievable
2.increase the amount of points earned by 5* and 4* in the 6* arenas
3. Add cavalier shards to 6* featured, not a must but would like to see it
4. Increase the battlechips earned or increase the drop rates of units in arena crystals. This would ensure people get the units back lost.
Overall, I don't mind the new arenas for myself due to me not being a heavy grinder, but the time taken to grind, has been doubled. So just adding those items above would make it worth while.
Before the change, for period of time I grinded two arenas, the 3-4* and the 4-5*, only for milesstones, to earn units, battlechips and gold. I recently switched to do only 4-5*, milestones only, due to lack of time and it was more than enough for me, but comparing the new system to the twoarena runs is more fair i believe. Completing previous arenas took me 44 rounds each, 88 total, running 10-10 rounds in the morning and in the late afternoon. With this schedule I was able to sit back and relax for the last day of Arena, and it got me total of 270 units if i remember correctly (never kept track properly)
With this new arena, I followed somewhat the same format, doing 10-10 rounds of 5* and 6* heroes. With the latter I wouldn't even be able to do more, as i only have 31 characters at the moment, 90% of them sitting at rank 1, some of them on level 1 as well. It took me total of 109 fight, 20 more than in the previous system, with having to use arena boost on todays last run (nearly used all of them), as I either wouldnt have been able to complete the milestones, or I'd have to grind even more with midway ranked 5* champs. However I put a lot more fights in this arena it still only gave me 180 units.
I never intend to grind hours to have a 5* champ, not to mention a 6* so having a 6* arena has no use for me. I'm only here for the milestones. With this said i found it highly irritating and tiring to puting more and more time in the arena, with having less resources at the end of the cycle. I also found it troublesome, that I couldn't do these runs in one sitting, as 6* champs took more time to refresh. I could only get around this if I even wake up earlier, or finish the last bits at late night.
In my early runs, I also met some 6R5 champs which was really weird and annoying for me, as they took even more time, more baiting specials to get around, since they have bigger healthpools. Arena should be fast fights, and these roughly 5 runs were anything but fast. Wouldn't consider them a deatchmatches, cause i could use 5R5 champs, but really questionable for me, why do i have to fight champs on a high rank that cannot be found anywhere else in the game (in cave eq, i only saw 6r2's so far), but this is the least of the problems for me. For smaller rosters could be a bigger issue.
Probably the biggest upside of the new setup is the grandmaster crystal shards instead of the PHC's, but i can't mention much more.
I didn't try the lesser arena's, as completing this was more than enough effort put in and i'm not intend to in the future either if it stays. The reason i stopped doing them in the previous system as well, is that they don't give any 5* shards, also i was more than bored using my 4* champs at this point. Worth to mention, that i can see that they would give me slighty more units than the pervious version, which is welcomed, but not enough, looking at the big picture.
Overall, this is probably my least favourite change of the game ever, I found it needlessly grindy, that could only be worse when there's an other arena in the game (like now, or like the christmas one, for the 6* shards), and not worth my efforts for the milestone rewards. I can only hope that my ranked rewards will somewhat compensate for it. Even tho I'm TB, around 1m rating, I didnt feel like this format is for me and my roster, not to mention smaller accounts, those who also had no problems before, going through all the milestones, without ever touching 6* champs. Feels like these arena's were aimed, for ratings above 1.5 mill (6* arena), and belove 500k (4* arena), and me, and my preferences were lost somewhere in the middle.
All i need i having the old system back, or a similar one, where i can grind the same amount as before, for the same rewards. Or a somewhat similar one, where the time spent and the rewards earned scales properly.
i have 12/13 6*, 24/25 5*, and many 4*, what are the issue i am facing?
1/ the refresh time is awfully huge for 6*, since i have only few of them it is becoming impossible for me to complete the milestone,
2/ i have few 6* and few 5* but mostly 3* and 4*, sad part is i have to play a lot more that previous just to get milestone rewards.
3/ the major problem is the death matches, after 50-60 fights i got death matches ( 4* vs 6* r3) seriously? i mean seriously?
look i understand that you guys need money but can you please for once, focus on people who are new and growing?

previously i just played arena for milestone rewards, not it has become a nightmare for me.
please, i humbly requesting you to fix it.
Let me begin with how the old arena system worked for me:
I was able to hit every milestone in every arena within 27 hours of the arena beginning. The last time I tracked the total amount of time this took (back in September), it took roughly 7 hours overall of grinding. That will have gotten faster over the intervening 8 months as my 6* roster, in particular, grew significantly in that time. I estimate around 6 1/2 hours overall to hit every milestone in every arena, as a player who has 100% everything in-game but doesn't really spend much at all.
This old system took me 217 rounds overall to hit the milestones. I am excluding the catalyst arenas in both of my analyses.
Now onto the new system:
In total, hitting every milestone took 8h 45mins. That is a 33% increase, roughly, in the amount of time it took to hit every milestone, and it also took a day and a half longer to complete every milestone, which is a factor that cannot be discounted, as it is likely that people are not consistently available for the more restrictive 5 and 6 star refresh times. I think most people who lead 'normal lives', as in they don't spend all day at home with nothing to do, would be unable to run their 6*s twice, which would make hitting all the milestones nigh impossible, where it very much might have been before
It's a similar story in terms of rounds, roughly a 36% increase.
As you can probably guess, the largest increase in both time and rounds was found in the 6* arenas, as the required number of points with the same rarities of champion and multiplier almost tripled, from 12 mil to 33 mil.
While it's somewhat positive that my preliminary figure of a 100% increase in time taken, as the initial stats suggested, did not come to fruition, the fact remains that the new arenas are overtuned by around 33%. Each.
Another thing that I didn't set out to test, but that I had heard about and encountered on my alt account, is the severe lack of units available at lower milestones. My alt's roster is very sparse, so I don't consider it very representative, but due to its very limited size, not being able to utilize my 2 and 3 star roster tuned to their points hurt significantly, resulting in a decent amount less units under the new system than in the old. I didn't collect data on this, so I can't provide numbers, just some intuition, and I know others have talked about it at length.
So, how would I fix the arena to make the effort roughly the same as it was previously, and try to even the spread more.
First of all, let's consider the previous featured 4* arena. Most people ran 5*s in this arena to achieve 4 million points. If we tune this to 6 stars, which give roughly double the points as 5*s, and adjust the milestones accordingly, the 4* featured was worth about 8 million points.
Therefore, let's combine this with the old featured 5* amount, and you would get 20 million points for roughly the equivalent grind with 6*s as you were previously. But we now have two 6* arenas that are equivalent to the featured 5*, so I propose that the top milestone for each is brought down to 10 million points. While this might seem low, remember, it's basically a top milestone of 20 million points, but spread out over two arenas. Not to mention that 5*s have had their value halved in what they contribute to the arenas, and 6*s are much rarer for the majority of the playerbase, so that 8 million that has been transferred from the previous 5* arena is realistically more difficult to hit for most players.
The summoner trials is a really simple fix. Just bring it back down to 1.5 mil. Currently, people are getting fewer units for putting up 1.5 mil in the new arena than they were in the old one, which seems ludicrous to me. This should have been the clearest indicator that the new arenas took more effort. It's there. Clear as day. Players are getting less units with the same champions, multiplier, everything, for the same amount of points.
My final suggestion is around scaling. There is a not-insignificant portion of players that are now getting less units because there are overall fewer 'low-hanging' milestones. Let's take 'collected' players. Where they might have been able to get 35 units from summoner trials, the 3* featured, and the 4* basic, they can now only get...14? That seems crazy.
Therefore I suggest a system more akin to the catalyst arenas, at least in the summoner trials arena, where the milestones are very much front-loaded. Doesn't have to be significantly, just enough to make up the deficit. I know it's not an easy fix, and in the 6* arenas some might argue front-loading gives too much of an advantage to those with large 6* rosters. But, to be honest, I'm not sure players are that bothered about that as long as their units are at least equalling out to what they were before.
But there is another benefit to front-loading, that I want to throw out there, but not necessarily endorse. Front-loading, I think, would motivate more players with limited time to play arena, which must be a net positive for the gamemode. But additionally, if a good chunk of the unit share is front-loaded, people might need to spend less time overall in arena. Sure they wouldn't get the max, and people could still play to get the max, but I think with all the additional content and gamemodes that now exist, reducing the time players spend in arena would be a good move to allow more overall interaction with the various gamemodes, especially with solo competitive coming.
And one more final thing, I know I'm sort of chancing it here, but if we have 540 units available in total, why not have an even distribution of 180 across all arenas? I know you're pushing people towards uncollected, but you could even put the extra 40 in summoner trials in milestones beyond 1.5 mil. It would maybe make reducing the milestones in the 6* arenas a bit lighter on your conscience, if you need that kind of thing.
Anyway, I've rattled on long enough. I'll leave with this. If the arenas aren't changed, and relatively soon, players, including myself, are either going to get burnt out or demotivated. If the arenas aren't improved I'll probably be calling it quits. It's the thing that allowed me to progress in this game, and adding more time requirements over a longer period just isn't feasible for me.
End gamers can reach everything in those ones but me with 15 of 6* and 14 of 5*r5 is not possible.
You should create this arenas :
1 arena for those who are thronebreakers
1 arena for cavaliers
1 arena for uncolleters
and so on.
If you are not a thronebreaker you will not be able to see the first arena and so on
You have created crystals and offers in glory tab for thronebreakers so i am sure you can do that also in arenas.
OR you can decrease dramaticly the cd of 5 and 6 *
Until then i am very dissapointed about this new update
1.i can`t earn that much units
2.my plan to complete act6 is now for 2023 not 2022
3.the amount of bc has decreased by 50% per month.
Hope that the staff will understand that in this game are not only the players who have money / time to play that much to achieve decent amounts of milestones.
We are working , we have childrens , we have real life , we are still humans.
These new arenas and milestones are for robots.
Did only 2.250.000 points because the next milestone is just not worth the effort for what it gives.
3 and 4 * in the milestones without iso ? just for 1 signature ? or for a 4* that will not help me nowhere?
idk....for me it sounds like a marketing thing to get money...
They all want the 1-5% (a few trying for feature) for 1k 6* shards.. most in top ally’s want this as it gives chance for more champs.
As I keep saying not everyone is doing arena just for units. It is the best way (better with new update) to earn huge amount of regular shards if you don’t spend on crystals
With all this in mind, I am not seeing how restoring the old arenas and keeping the new ones will unbalance anything.
Those of us who want the old arenas back are still not going to play the new ones. I know I wouldn't.
And, unless they are lying about what they really want, it does not seem like the people who like the new arenas are going waste their time in the old arenas. Even if they wanted to, It does not seem like there is even enough time.
The only accounts that would probably benefit greatly from this are the bots, and those should be dealt with regardless of the arena structure so they are essentially irrelevant to the discussion.
Instead of limiting our choices with fewer arenas, give us more options, but make choosing each option only worthwhile if you commit to that option. Everyone gets what they want, and no one loses what they had.
Another alternative might be adding more lower level milestones in the 6* arenas, frontloading the unit awards to the lower milestones, so again, we unit grinders can get what we want, and the shard/champ grinders can get what they want.
I suggest getting all the units in milestones and distributing them within the first 4M-6M points. I don't mind the featured champion being in 9M, but let that be the only reward after 4M. One more suggestion is to add an arena for 2 and 3 star champions. I used my 3 -3 star teams in the 4 star nexus arena, but 2 stars didn't even have a chance.
