I remember talking about Hawkeye long ago, before the monthly buffing began. My idea was a pretty simple buff, since he's already a decent character.
* Keep SP1 as is.
* Change SP2 to power steal.
* Change SP3 to power burn and power-lock.
You could potentially give each SP different debuffs as well, to emphasize his various arrows. Maybe bleed, poison and incinerate, respectively?
I think some way to cycle between arrow types similar to diablo’s potion mechanic then have specials utilise that could work, then have particular specials focus on enhancing a particular arrow type so you try to coordinate the special you need and the arrow
That sounds interesting. I don't really know how Diablo works since I've never pulled him and have never had to learn how he works to ever defeat him, but I like the general concept of your idea.
I agree that Hawkeye is long overdue for some adjustments. I just duped my 5 star again (signature level 80 now). His synergies need some tweaking as well. He has three synergies that have the same effects.

A work up that I had done a while back also gave him some utility with his uniform being made out of Kevlar, reducing bleed damage and also him having a passive true accuracy as long as he's not hit that would up his crits as well as special damage.
The way that kabam have been giving the older champs overhauls makes it seem like more than ever possible. Only downside is that it's a good size list of those who fit the criteria, so we don't know who's next.

Since most skill champs rely on inflicting debuffs, (basing this on the animations) Old SP1 was Bleed and Power Drain, New SP1 Shock and Power Drain Old SP2 was Bleed, New SP2 can be Incinerate, Disorient, or Slow Debuff Old SP3 was Bleed, New SP3 can be Concussion that may lead to Inverted Controls.
All of his new SP will guarantee a bleed with a chance of hemorrhaging. Maybe give him a way to prevent Science champs from evading
My worry is that if I add more changes to his playthrough, he might turn into Night Thrasher.
Following Kabam's trend of just changing the Sig skill into a default ability like Thor (Ragnarok) and Karnak. They'll probably make him give out hemorrhages during SP's with varying percentages depending on SP level.
His new sig should be a true accuracy so he can even hit evading, invisible, and auto-blocking enemies.
Knowing Hawkeye's personality as more laid-back and comedic than other characters, He should have trap arrows against blocking, evading and invisible enemies like what masacre's sp2 does to block

I hope to God they don't remove his sp1 power drain, that's been his shtick ever since he was released.
And the traits of classes have muddled a bit in later years so that isn't a excuse
I would also argue that they didn't seem to care AT ALL about the Mystic class traits when they "buffed" Guillotine, so, who the hell knows...?
Their "buff" of Guilly is genius in a way, because with minimal effort and interest on their part, any buff they make will seem miles better than Guilly.
