Potential Delay to v44.1 Launch

We need to know exactly how to trigger bounty missions

As most already reported here, there's a huge issue with those "test of valor" quests
Some alliances had one of them triggered in less than one minute after that one finished, and had them start back-to-back, and other alliances maybe couldn't trigger one for 1-6-10 hours
Looking at the general situation this can result in a big issue for all the players trying to compete for top1000/top100/top10, having their time invested on playing and grinding hardcore for arena, solo events for top spots etc. completely wasted, because of this "random" system that give a kind of advantage to some and a disadvantage to other
I'm asking for a full-detailed explanation on how this "random" factor is decided, and how exactly trigger one of those quest
And i tanto to point out another thing, those quests should have a regular schedule same for everyone
so everyone trying to go for top 100 or top 10 have fair chance, that's already the difference of valor for solo events and arena rank to determine the difference of valor on the leaderboard

    I’m really confused on why they wouldn’t outline exactly how to proc them.

    I’m sure it’s down to luck like so many other parts of this game. Can anyone name another game that depends on luck more than this game..that’s not in a casino?

    All I've been able to tell is that they are tied to the monthly quest. All of ours have proc'ed from a member exploring a full difficulty level of the monthly quest (i.e. 100% Heroic). A second will not proc if one is already running.

    @Dexman1349 we had two of our members (including myself) finish 100% heroic while we didn’t have a bounty Mission. No trigger.

    It finally triggered after 7+ hours from another guy we didn’t know that was close to completing it. But he said he got the bounty Mission an hour after he actually did it. Hopefully a Kabam member can enlighten us tomorrow

    I wonder if each completion/exploration is simply a chance to trigger one, not a guaranteed trigger.

    @GroundedWisdom, not exactly. I've proc'ed it twice for my alliance and once was when I accepted a Valor-containing reward, the other was when I finished a round in Arena (which did not reward me Valor).
    I've been trying to save my 'Valor-earning' activities for when a new Test of Valor is available. I wait until then to accept the Valor-containing rewards, as well as waiting to spend quest energy to advance in the monthly quest (each fight awards Valor); I even waited to finish the Normal Mode monthly (completion then exploration) during the down-time. When I got the Normal Mode exploration reward, it had been about 5-6 hours since the last Test of Valor had finished and I was under the impression that factors like time lapsed since the previous Test of Valor or the amount of valor earned would matter, but from my experience now they're not factors.

    Yeah it activated for me in a arena fight aswell, doesn't give valor... so what the hell happened?

    This system is clearly flawed, don't even know what's the point of not fixing it asap, it's so simple.

    But whatever, we can't do anything about it, might as well live with it like we always do with everything else.

    There’s plenty to be explained, we went over 8 hours without 1 triggering when one ended and we had just about everyone working towards triggering one earning valor. Then for whatever reason an hour after I had last earned any valor in the middle of doing an arena series it popped up that I somehow triggered 1 while doing arena and not having earned any valor in the past hour. How does 1 trigger then and not in the 8 hours previous when everyone was earning valor. Please bless me with your wisdom on my confusion as to how that happened.

    So I was wrong. You don't need to earn Valor. It's random throughout the game. As for evidence, it's pretty clear. Sometimes it triggers and sometimes it doesn't. If people are looking for a chart or a schedule, it's probably not coming. It's RNG. We've done several now.

    So I was correct to begin with LOL. I went back because someone pointed out that it was triggered without Valor. In any event, I'm still certain it's random. There's no actual set schedule for it.

    Technically, you could trigger one by simply beating a single monthly event champ in basic (only 1 valor point). Highly unlikely, but possible.

    Yes. To be honest I haven't paid attention to what was being done at the time. We've triggered 4 or 5 but they were at random times.

    Nothing in MCoC is Pure RNG, even if or when Kabam intends it to be. They always seem to create a variable that can be exploited, and it always is. I’m sure the leader boards will prove this.

    Regarding the triggering of valor bounty when in arena and not claiming valor, I suspect it’s from passing a milestone and it recognizes you’ve earned it even though you haven’t claimed it. Just pure speculation though as I’ve triggered several but only when finishing quests or once when getting reward from arena result winnings.

    It's buggy as well, my rewards came about 8 hours late, the first email came saying if you didn't get a reward you didn't earn it, then 8 hours later another email with the reward. the pop ups to tell me to join keep coming after I've completed the quest or after it's finished, but tbh the whole game is buggy if I close down the app to go to line or something when I go back in it's 50:50 whether it will make me force quit to get back in, and I haven't updated phone or iOS

    In my alliance we were opening ok. Now it's been hours since the last one, we are burning out our chances of opening another one by finishing missions and still nothing. Kabam change it right away how we trigger it! Make it fair for everyone instead of favoring your favorite players as always.

    Typical shadiness from the beloved game/dev team. I think the “triggering” system is flawed to say the least. It should have been a set schedule. Have one run for the 6 hr time frame followed by an 1-2 hr cool down...rinse/repeat.

    I have finished all 4 difficulties of the monthly quest, ranked 1-10% in all vanquishing blow 24 hr events, have done every bounty that’s came up in my alliance, and ranked 80th in the first Thor arena. I was in the top 5 for the first few days but have since continuously fallen since....and for the life of me cannot figure out why.

    The current top players aren’t ranking in the top 5 in the 24hr events nor the arena so they extra points aren’t coming from there. So where would they be coming from? Only other probability is a few may be repeatedly running the monthly quests and earning the 1-2 valor per every few fights that way....and if that’s the case, more power to them because that’s just insane lol...

    I'll throw in my 2 cents here I don't post much in forums this is only the 2nd time doing so. I have been back an forth with kabam via emailed about bounty missions and how it "seems" like its not so much random but higher tier alliances being able to proc will get to how that is happening in a bit. As mention above by @CoquiFongo that pretty much sums up the 4 email I have received from kabam with one thing they changed their minds in first they stated that when a high value of valor is earn the higher chances of a bounty mission being trigger to the last and final email from them stating that the amount of valor does not really matter. I have watched my valor rank go from top 10 to 72 last time I checked which has frustrated me as the bounty missions is what really killing me I have completed all difficulties and have rank 1-20% on all final blow events to date along with ranking 1-10% on feature thor so basically doing everything I can to get valor. What is hurting me and most players is bounty missions unable to trigger them so I will give everyone who read this a tip that has been successful so far. In my current alliance no is collecting valor anymore from final blow not saying they are not working on it just not claiming it currently we are sitting on all valor reward claims and have people waiting on the final fight of a completion in the monthly even quest if they are about to clear it for the first time or about to 100% any of the difficulties, we then wait make sure no bounty is going on and one by one our members start to claim valor stating with the guys sitting on a quest if it procs it procs if not then the next person goes and so forth until one of us gets lucky its worked out so far we have had 3 procs with anywhere between 30 min - 2 hour wait time in between hope that helps.

    We trying that too, but anyone claim valor is not triggering one, than after 5 minutes a guy doing an arena streak proc a bounty mission between a fight and another
