The compensation won't help UC players who are on 6.1 trying for cav instead it will be 5.2 style.

The comparison between 5.2 and 6.1 being a huge gap isn't compared to 6.2 and completing act 6 and possibly act 7. But they aren't thronebreaker just because they beat act 6.
It's not that hard to get cav and the compensation is good enough.

    Aegon, dragon man.

Though honestly, I think you should focus on Act 5 and not becoming Cav.

Compensation is not a reward meant to help you progress. It is meant to replace what you might have spent because of some issue in the game.

This exactly. I don't know why people feel like comp is supposed to get them to the next progression tier or whatever.

There is a progression title between uc & cavalier, it’s called elders bane and sadly it’s completely forgotten.

It's not progression title. You don't get anything for it. It's just a title.

You used Ten Level 2 Revives for 5.4.6 Ultron when you have Medusa?

I used mine and got the One Shot but mine was Rank 2 and Unawakened. Learn how to play her better because 6.1.2 Ultron is a tad harder

So you’re saying you want another title so those people can get better rewards? There’s already only a gap of 3 chapters and reducing it even more would be pretty dumb ngl. Just try to become Cav ASAP and you won’t have to worry

No I was just annoyed I guess because I'm finding cav hard and the compensation will prob at uc just be another standard 5 star which may be a champ with no use
I dont know that it will feel encouraging but don't get too frustrated. The people who are cav and TB are some mix of:

    1. Insanely skilled. Like, they're the people who just keep going at Dance Dance Revolution at the arcade, playing for 45 minutes off of 3-4 quarters. They start playing the game, devour (or create) concepts like backdraft-intercept, shallow dex, reparry, and never letting the enemy fire a special attack when its not a part of their plan. Theyre just that dang good. I am not in this category but I do learn (slowwwwly) from them. They are both inspiring/impressive, and annoying.

    2. Spending "alot" (depending on what your definion of alot is. They spend units when they need to to finish a quest, spend money on cav crystal bundles each month, and a few even pay other people to log into their account to complete content that they are too busy or too unskilled to do in the time frame they want it done. I'm not saying that spending money on the game is bad or that it's the same as paying people to play for you, but spending money does help a person advance quickly if they don't have the natural gifts of the first type of player or the patience and time of the third.

    3. Playing a lot for a long time. They've played for a year or more (occassionally less than that but for 3-4 hours q day if so). They've slowly learned most or all of the skills that the first type of player picks up and shares, and when they can't seem to learn them, they rank up champs who can cover that hole or learn work-arounds for those fights. Theyve done so much arena that theyve probably earned at least a few free 4* under the old system, and even if they only spend a little $$ each year, over time that has given them small edges or emergency revives that have added up to get them thru places that they almost got stuck in and had to start over. They may have taken breaks from some game modes (or even from playing very much) but they usually log in daily and maybe clear the eq on the highest reward level each month or do an arena grind during the 22 hour arena event a few times a year still.

You will get there if you want to and still enjoy the game. Watch video guides when you struggle, learn how to play any of the most broken champs you have (so if u have ghost/aegon/quake, learn'm! But even aside from them, learn the ins and outs of your other OP champs and champs that are basically hard counters like Void and Human Torch).

Skip guide videos that involved ghost/quake (except when those apply to you) and go for the ones with interesting or less-obvious answers. Thats not to bash those ghost/quake vids, but they have a lot less value than seeing how people maneuver thru fights with other more fair champs. Watch HOW those players do the fight. If its just a matter of learning timing, it can help your muscle memory to see it a few times, and if its more the strategic approach to how they're fighting, watch it long enough that you can remember it when youre in the fight.

The things that I wish I'd been faster to think about and really understand around starting act 6:

Controlling the enemy special attacks with 4hit combos and holding block, and hitting into block to push them to the special I want them to use

Using enemy specials as my opening to pound them combined with backdraft intercepts to push them to their next special attack to repeat the process.

Relearning to be willing to take block damage (even if I wasn't getting parries!) as I got rank 5s and 6*r2s who can take that damage.

Farming potions in RoL and revives in 4.3.6 (or whatever that venom boss chapter is) and going into some of the 6.1 chapters with a willingness to use them, understanding that in act 6, kabam really ups the fun/interactive damage and there are ways to handle it (which is partly item usage).

Learning more about how spacing works (its hard for me to put into words but there are good youtube vids that will help explain and demonstrate it) in specials, dexing, and countering with your heavy attack.

Learning how to pick (and actually taking a little time TO DO IT!) what content ill do with a full stash of items and with suicides on, and what lanes to work on with suicides off. For example, the one time I made a conscious effort to do this I cleaned up every available korg fight in variants and in act 6 with R5 sig 200 OR with suicides since the death aura being on right away both speeds up the fight and makes his purify shut off very quickly. It saved me a LOT of pain.

The other time I did something similar was finding all of the increased power gain effect Dr Strange in variants (and any annoying ones in act 6 that were similar) and go thru them with Dr ock while I had suicides off and I had the fight playstyle fresh in my head.

Finally, dont be stressed by taking a break from progression to do like map 5 of AQ and do whatever challenging level of AW you like, and don't be afraid to take a break from the challenging AQ/AW to drop down to a map 2 alliance and work on progression. Good luck!

Haven't they done compensation like they did the big deals in the past where if you get a new title you get both packages? So if I'm not a crazy person making stuff up you could potentially be in a better spot then someone like me who won't get a new title when compensation is released.

The intention wasn't ever to allow that but the game did it anyway. There's never been a guarantee it will happen.

To be honest, becoming Cav is less about having "the right champs" and more about skill. There's just a couple of fights that require having a reasonable counter like Crossbones, but beyond that most of getting past 6.1 involves learning how the global nodes work and then building the skill set to deal with them.

In fact, I would say that's the point to becoming Cavalier. From Act 1 to Act 4 you just need to hit them harder than they hit you and they die and you don't, and you win. Act 5 starts to throw more nodes at you that require you to think about using champions that can counter those effects. Act 6.1 itself specifically throws things at you that require at least as much skill to counter as champions.

In terms of resources I might get in a compensation package, the thing that would probably help me the most to get through 6.1 if I was trying to become Cavalier today would be energy refills. Because 6.1 is all about practicing and getting better. It isn't about waiting for the best champs to come along to help you. Sure: you could wait for the perfect roster, but doing so would be hurting yourself in two ways. First of all, you're going to be waiting for a long time. And second, you're cheating yourself out of the experience you need to build the skills you will need to keep progressing higher. If you can't complete 6.1 now, the best thing to do is: keep trying. Try, fail, back out, try again. Keep trying and keep getting better until you can do it. You don't get any better spinning crystals and waiting. You don't get better spending your way through the map either. You do get better by trying the content and being willing to back out and try again later.

Up to becoming Uncollected, most players don't have to do this. They become accustomed to either blasting through the content, or spending units and revives to get through everything on the first go. It then becomes frustrating when they run into content they can't beat and they can't spend past. But knowing when you've outraced your skill level and need to take time for your skills to catch up with your account is part of learning how to play the game. It is a lesson not everyone learns, to their detriment.
