Kabam if new game engine is crashed put it onto new server and bring mcoc back to old server.. This lag in everyday gameplay is horrendous.

    No, it fixed animation stability on older/weaker devices. With future improvement, this lag is gonna be fixed too.

    they physically cant go to the old engine.... this wasn't their fault upgrading to a different engine, it was the engine they were using that upgraded...

    It's a nice thought, but unrealistic. It's really not as simple as that.

    Agreed but I can't even play for 15 minutes hardly now as when opponent uses specials and then whole match becomes laggy and stuttering.. This is not good.

    At some point it is easier for Kabam to create another MCOC game than revert the things back to previous, if you have that system development experience.

    No, not the Unreal engine. The game is built on the Unity Engine. https://unity.com/

    Unity made an update to their engine which caused MCOC to go out of whack for some. They can't go back. It's very rare for any piece of software to get rolled back.

    I'm hearing this is true(outside of kabam of course). So why has kabam not shared this with the community(obviously directed at kabam at not you)? they claim they want more transparency yet I believe most people thought the whole game including the engine was programmed in house

    @RyanGolf they did. https://forums.playcontestofchampions.com/en/discussion/276481/update-gameplay-concerns-affecting-parry-and-dexterity#latest

    I don't know why anyone would have thought the game engine was in-house. That's not a very cost effective way of doing it. There are proven engines out there and saves them the trouble of trying to create their own.

    no where in that link does it say the game engine isn't theirs. I searched for the term unity engine. the only thing that mentioned it was your post and one from two years ago. the one from two years ago never got a response and kabam Miike shutdown the thread for me reviving an old thread that supposedly has no relevance to today

    and you think the players know that potentially the biggest problem to game glitches are being caused because the game engine belongs to a third party? I would say this is not common knowledge. also not something kabam has made clear to the community

    Kabam if new game engine is crashed put it onto new server and bring mcoc back to old server.. This lag in everyday gameplay is horrendous.

    They are working on their own engine that won't ruin the game with every update.
